The nhl not so much

But that is USA!!. I can say the same thing about USA International soccer, including the USWNT. You got a lot of people who could give a bleep about whatever pro league the USMNT and USWNT play in (raising my own hand) vs religiously watching their international matches. It is not because of style, just it is because you are rooting for something.
