Pitt football may not be in the top 20 but women’s soccer is 14!

Randy Waldrum in only his 2nd season has a young and championship caliber team it seems. Incredible job of building a program and yet another great hire by Heather Lyke.

Pitt athletics’ trajectory is clearly upward. H2P!

Um... Pitt men's soccer is ranked #2 and are a legit NC contendor. They only lost at #1 Wake 3-2 (exhibition) and made Louisville and ND, 2 historically strong programs look like HS teams.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think he's in his 3rd season.
Either way, he's doing a great job IMO.

You’re right. They went winless in the ACC in year one (but more competitive than most years!), then 2-6–2 in year two with a couple late/overtime losses to top teams, and now we’re in year three. Women’s soccer is even tougher than the men’s game for a new coach because the girls commit so early. Waldrum has done a great job in his first few classes in filling the roster with internationals and transfers, and now is going to start getting actual bona fide domestic recruits on campus - who committed to him years ago.
