You have no clue how stupid the betting public are. Try explaining to people 50 times what a money line bet is. Or why their Steelers ticket isn’t a winner because they didn’t bet today’s game but instead bet a SB futures ticket. Or why when you bet over in a hockey game a SO only counts as 1 goal. Or a million other things.

You’d think it should be easy because they’re not the ones actually moving the numbers, but in general people are really, really dumb.

If he bet exactly 10 grand he did not have to give his SS #. If he bet $10001 he did.

I went down last night to check it out. Did not play any games but was surprised it had as much space as it did. I believe they are going to modify the Levelz bar to be the sportsbook eventually.

My friend tried to get a spread/total parlay of the pitt bowl game and they wouldn’t even take it which is weak as absolute hell. What I’m worried about is bc of all the high tax and fees they are not going to be giving out good numbers or options until they are confident this is a good investment. I’ll probably keep using my online books until it gets more polished.

Part of that may have had to do with the fact that the first two days they were open they were only open on a test basis. They, or the state for that matter, may not have wanted them to take larger bets until the could show the operation was going to work the way that it was supposed to.

What sucks for places that aren’t the hub is that they can only take bets, but aren’t able to move numbers. They are at the mercy of the hub book, which may have their own reason for making the numbers what they are.

It’s kind of a no win situation for these subsidiaries, as the main book doesn’t care at all what the little guys exposure is.
