Lucky us...

Very true. Of course their are many teams in the NFL that would kill to have those Playoff appearances and wins.
As a Bills fan I’ve seen my fav team appear in one playoff game (2017) in the last 20 years, and they haven’t won a playoff game since 1995. I think that should put the recent Steelers “woes” into perspective.

Not looking up records, but I would think..

Bucs, Raiders, Titans, Browns, Texans, Bengals, Cardinals, Lions, Bills, Dolphins, Redskins, Jets, 49ers

I'm guessing the jags, cowboys, chargers. Essentially over half the league.

So according to all of you who think 3 playoff wins since 2011 is fine because a lot of other average NFL franchises are in the same situation is ok??

Is that the way fans of winning NFL franchises look at things?

I'll bet fans of teams like the Patriots, Rams, and others aren't thinking this is just great we're running in the middle of a pack of average teams.

Not saying it's fine. Just pointing out there are plenty of teams who would kill for that. The Steelers provide a winning team every year and a playoff team most years. 8 Super bowl appearances with 6 Super Bowl titles can make a fan base feel entitled.

If your not happy with it I'm sure the other teams mentioned will accept as a fan.
They may only have 3 wins but as previously mentioned they win the division and/or in the playoffs annually.
There are limited (12) spots in the playoffs and the Steelers are one of same teams that is consistently in the playoffs so that says more about them than the 3 wins. Ask guys like Joe Haden how he feels about it.

Honestly, I think underperformance in the regular season has contributed to that. If the Steelers would simply beat the teams they are supposed to beat (Raiders for example) and split vs the good teams, they’d finish with better records, they’d have better seeds/matchups/home games in the playoffs and simply have a better playoff record.

Were they in the play-offs last year.
If they get in the playoffs consistenly they don't do well, do they, evidenced by 3 wins since 2011.

This is a really low bar!

The Steelers are consistently above average but not really good or great!
I doubt the Pats would be happy with that line of thinking and that's why the Pats are Great!

As another poster mentioned if the Steelers beat the teams they should beat they'd get in the play-offs more often and be in a postion to have maybe 4 wins since 2011.
Very average, but what I'm noticed is Pittsburgh has a lot of average "Joes" floating around.
Must be genetic!

When I see Joe Haden I'll ask him!

I'll pick the teams I support Mr average "Joe."

I don't live in Pittsburgh but have been a Steelers fan for 50 years give or take 10 years when they were great, players coaches had high standards, and winning was the only option!

Today the players, HC/coaches seem to have lowered the Steelers bar by a lot.

Now we're happy that the Steelers almost made the playoffs but they were good in the past when the new HC took over??

What have you done for me today!

I have high standards for myself so I expect that of others.
