Steelers just cruising along and then Fathead happens.. What a pathetic excuse of a pass... Scatter armed meathead... Just more excuse for that kind of throw and interception

Pretty hard to be so critical of Roethlisberger, but no doubt these types of INTs happen all too often on the road against lesser opponents.

Ben is like a different quarterback on the road, it's getting to be standard with him. If he plays like he did today in Buffalo in New England, Denver, Oakland and KC it won't matter how many yards Bell gets. We'll lose.

What caliber of QB can't play "on the road"? Pretty ridiculous but he's stunk in every road game.

The kind that won every playoff game on the road and won the Super Bowl!! That would be Big Ben!
That was an eternity ago.. He's an over the hill meathead best exemplified by 3 interceptions today that a rookie could have thrown. Fathead... The meathead... The yinzer legend.

Steelers won in spite of Ben today, but... it goes both ways. How about that Cowboys game? Most of the rest of the team basically let Ben down in that one.

25/11 TD/INT ratio is pretty good, Bradshaw threw 26 and 25 INTS the years he won his last 2 Super Bowls. Who would you prefer at QB?

Bradshaw. Roethlisberger gets to points in games like yesterday's game where the staff doesn't even trust him to throw the ball and when that happens they try to run the ball on third down with more than 5 yards to pick up- that's pitiful. Nothwithstanding the fact that the Steelers dominated that game yesterday, the Steelers were a silly millimeter away from that game bring a nail biter for one reason- the QB play was erratic and abysmal! A veteran QB who can't play on the road? His performances in Philly, Miami and yesterday were beyond pathetic. He's headed downhill big time. Here we are in a pass happy league with a QB who's supposed to be a superstar and I predict the Steelers will work Bell to death rather than risk putting the last three games in #7's hands to win or lose. Bell better rest up.

Del will still be saying Ben sucked when he's being inducted in the HOF.
And if he gets, in it will be a joke. .. a HoF QB that the staff, like yesterday, can't even trust to throw. Run on third and 8? Make a nail biter out of a game you dominate because the QB can't pass.., HoF...what a joke.

Ben>Bradshaw by a mile, Ben never had the supporting cast of 10+ hall of famers for 10+ straight years. If Ben hadn't been drafted, they'd still be selling "One for the Thumb" t-shirts, because they wouldn't have won #5 yet.

Wow. He has one of the best QB ratings of all time, 2 Super Bowl Rings, has basically willed the Steelers to win an insane amount of times. I hope you are joking. If not then I am guessing that he wronged you personally in some way. He is a lock.

Or don't you follow football that closely?.

It'd at least be interesting if Del was capable of generating an argument that was more than "Hurr durr meathead."
An example of the elite dem liberals who lost the election because of statements like this and still don't get it.
But keep it up its wonderful! LOL!

He is just dimwitted.

Ben's QB rating in both SB wins were abysmal. Steelers won because of defense.......always have. Ben at QB is certainly a good advantage but he hasn't won with late drives lately.

What does the election have to do with Del's inability to make a cogent argument that doesn't rely on personal insults?

Tired of the Super Bowl argument. He was in three games. Played well in one and completely stunk in the other two and was the major reason the Packers beat the Steelers. No playoff wins in 5 years except for the fluke win last year when he also stunk. Ben's fine when he has had a strong running game and a great defense; otherwise, he's too mistake prone and erratic to depend upon as the linchpin of your offense. Look at the games this year against Philly, Miami, yesterday...sheesh..you could get what he produced in those games out of a backup.

Hah, just wait until Ben isn't here anymore. Just wait.

Steelers won because of defense... except all those great defenses on the 90's/early 00's teams were fine with mediocre QB's, right? No big playoff or Super Bowl chokes or anything?

Um yeah. Everyone else knows he's a hall of famer. Literally every analyst on espn or whatever station you wanna turn on agrees he's a sure fire hall of famer. It's not even debatable actually. He definitely just doesn't like the guy.

That doesn't matter, he carried them there the whole season both years. In the '05 playoffs, Ben lifted the team on his back and carried them to the Super Bowl by himself and won 3 road playoff games with his arm, and even bailed out FAT BOY Bettis with a game saving tackle. Bottom line without drafting Ben, the Steelers last Super Bowl appearance is 1996 vs. Dallas.

Exactly, after Ben retires, this team will suck big time for a decade, because they won't do what they should, SELL OUT, SELL THE FARM to get a #1 pick franchise QB ASAP.

you want the steelers to sell out and draft a #1 pick franchise QB right now? So then what, he sits on the bench for 3 years, waiting for Ben to retire. You want to have a #1 draft pick, NFL QB on the bench for 3 years? Great strategy, I mean if this was 1981....

You have 1 year, 2 tops with this strategy or it's a waste.. If you know for a fact ben has 2 more seasons in him then yes, go get a QB, otherwise you use your #1 draft pick how the steelers have been, on Outside linebackers that are busts.. (The last part was a joke but I was serious about the QB draft part).

What team doesn't suck after their first team QB retires? That is a separate issue apart form whether #7 is overrated.

No, I don't mean right now, I mean when they are sure he's going, or within the 1st 1-3 years after he's gone. Don't pull a 10 year period of trying to get by with Kordells and Malones and Bubbys on the cheap, take a risk and go after a top prospect fairly soon after the Ben Era ends.

Can't hold Brady's jock...washed up and overrated his whole career. The big baby can't even play a decent game on the road.

You're right, I'll give you that, but 2nd best out of his era is pretty dame good. Don't give me Eli or Brees or Rivers, Peyton OK, but Ben was better than him in the post season. Still a Hall of Famer, A LOCK.

If you're going to judge every QB up against Brady you'll likely hate every Steeler QB for the rest of your life.
You guys miss my main point. It's not that Ben isn't a good QB it's just that he's not and has NEVER been a great QB with any consistency. Yes he has the occasional wow performance but he balances those with some very poor performances- you guys have selective memories and conveniently forget the poor performances out of your blind allegiance to all that is black and gold.
