OT: Steeelers

You're right, I'll give you that, but 2nd best out of his era is pretty dame good. Don't give me Eli or Brees or Rivers, Peyton OK, but Ben was better than him in the post season. Still a Hall of Famer, A LOCK.
He's better than Eli and Rivers but none of the rest . You're blinded by all that is black and gold. His games this year against Miami, Philly and and Buffalo were beyond atrocious.

You guys miss my main point. It's not that Ben isn't a good QB it's just that he's not and has NEVER been a great QB with any consistency. Yes he has the occasional wow performance but he balances those with some very poor performances- you guys have selective memories and conveniently forget the poor performances out of your blind allegiance to all that is black and gold.

A few poor performances are worth it for the monster performances and titles he's delivered.

I'm nothing more than a casual fan so I'm not clouded by anything. But he'll be in the hall of fame. He's certainly below Brady as is everyone else. But he's in the next tier. I do agree that he can be maddeningly inconsistent and certainly throws some head scratching picks. But he also extends plays and does things nobody else can do.

Tired of the Super Bowl argument. He was in three games. Played well in one and completely stunk in the other two and was the major reason the Packers beat the Steelers. No playoff wins in 5 years except for the fluke win last year when he also stunk. Ben's fine when he has had a strong running game and a great defense; otherwise, he's too mistake prone and erratic to depend upon as the linchpin of your offense. Look at the games this year against Philly, Miami, yesterday...sheesh..you could get what he produced in those games out of a backup.

No way. Aaron Rodgers was the reason we lost. 24/39 for 304 and 3 TDs, no INTs. He was ON FIRE. I actually remember thinking it would have been way worse if stonehands Greg Jennings didn't keep dropping balls. The Packers were pre-game favorites and their frequent 3/4 WR sets were a horrible matchup for our old-ass 3-4 defense. That game had zero to do with Ben.

Oh, yea, check Fathead's stats

Was Ben on the field giving up 12.7 yards per completion?
Let me refresh your memory- Fathead-25-40, 2 TDs and 2 interceptions; QBR- 59.9 versus Rogers- 24-39; 3 TD ; 0 interceptions; QB rating- 81.1. Fathead the myth! All hail Fathead because he wears black and gold.

That's OK, they would never have even been there without him the last 13 seasons, part of being in the hall of fame is stats, part is winning, Jim Kelly lost 4 straight super bowls, Marino was nothing but stats, in the end Fathead will have this big hall of fame bust twice as wide as the typical ones :)
