Pennsylvania Football talent

And pre NFL head trauma made NFL football players sports leaders in domestic abuse, bankruptcy, and drug and alcohol abuse?? LOL!

If football is such a terrible game why are you on this message board, why do you support football, watch football, or go to games.

It's destroying human life and you "do gooders" hate that right?

You should be working on protest signs right now and hitting the streets tomorrow! You can use the empty reverse side of you global warming protest signs or your no borders signs.

But you won't because its not!

I've said this before if football automatically creates mentally unstable people due to head trauma than football should be cancelled now today all football. No more practices, no more games!
I don't know this or not, this is not a "RIGHT" vs "LEFT" argument, and you using anecdotal examples of your friends is not exactly solid evidence against these studies. You do realize this, don't you?

Secondly, and more importantly, you discussing all of the football players issues such as spousal abuse, alcohol abuse, bankruptcy being higher than normal is actually supporting the evidence that the trauma to the head could be causing or at least contributing to these issues.

Thirdly, don't be a defense lawyer. You aren't good at it.

One other question, why do you think these people are so bad? What do they have in common?

They lived their whole life without serious consequence because they were pampered and protected since HS because of their ability!

your blaming CTE (an undiagnosable condition til they are dead with the top of their skull cut off) on alcohol abuse, beating their wife and now bankruptcy??

You see, with comments, reaches like this, excuse us for questioning this alleged scientific data..

I am not doing anything. I just am saying you can’t discount the possibility if not probability.

Every debate on every topic has to be binary, right or wrong X or O Let’s stop over simplifying debates to fit our political climate and cable news networks market studies

yeah but some clown over indulging on escalades at the Cadillac dealership isn't an indictment on head trauma in youth football. sometimes being a clown is what it is..

You could say the same about a rich guy that runs a corporation or becomes a politician. Just substitute the word "wealth" for "ability".

Exactly. You really see much difference? If anything I say the spoiled athlete is more remorseful when they realize they screwed up bad enough.

I don't disagree but Buffet see's brown and assumes the worst.

Edit: I'll add that the crime rate is lower for NFL players than the general population so not only are the athlete's remorseful, they're also better citizens.

Culturally, the perception of Appalachia is that of southern Appalachia. Pittsburgh is not a part of that. Geographically, of course Pittsburgh is in Appalachia, as is most of Pennsylvania outside of the areas near Philly, and near Erie, but northern Appalachia (most of Pennsylvania, southeastern Ohio, western Maryland, the southern stretch of western NY, and the northern third of WV) really doesn't have an identity. People are loathe to embrace the term Appalachian, because of the negative image of the southern regions. This is why people argue so much about what region Pittsburgh belongs to. Midwestern? Not really. Yeah, we share some things with Cleveland, but to me, Indy is quintessentially Midwestern, and I can't think of a city within 500 miles of us that is more unlike Pittsburgh than Indy. The idea of Pittsburgh, and Iowa being in the same region is even crazier, let alone the Plains States that are frequently considered to be part of the Midwest. Great Lakes? Flat, not a rowhouse to be found, wooden houses spaced far apart. Nah! East Coast? Too far inland. Maybe "interior east" is a good definition.
Pgh IS a Midwest city. More like Michiana than Philthy. The difference is attitude. slower-paced, much friendlier, no delusions. Philthy thinks it's NYC.

I'm guessing you're a Pgh native?? That's what i hear, mostly. I grew up in Philly...spent a good bit of time working thru OH, IN, MI. Pgh isn't east coast. East of the Appalachians, west of the Rockies......different vibe. I turned down multiple jobs in the former, one biggie in CA. Love to visit....but the middle is much more gentile & pleasant. Slower paced. I used to pound my chest as I crossed the Susquehanna to get my BP up a bit.....headed into chaos. I still say "wudder", though.

Well, that explains that. First d@mn I heard upon arrival at Temple for freshman orientation was "what's life like out in the Midwest?" Still grates on me after all these years . . .

East coast snottiness. If someone asked me that...i'd just tell him..."Better than here."

Source on that? I’d love to see the NFL crime rate versus White/Asian crime rates in USA.

Some groups commit about 800-1000% as much violent crime as other groups - and it’s not really fair to average or conflate them with others. You take them out and America instantly becomes one of the safest places on the planet.

I can just imagine what your plan is to "make America great again" . . .

So the problem with ethnic cleansing is that nobody has perfected it yet? Go be racist somewhere else.
