Nice shutout win on the road. Production from the big guns too.
Good Geno was on full display. Need that more consistently.Nice shutout win on the road. Production from the big guns too.
Maybe he is finally healthy? The pass on the Smith goal was top notch.Good Geno was on full display. Need that more consistently.
Haha. Yes I am!1-1
freakin usn is an amazing human .
we can talk hockey all night.Maybe he is finally healthy? The pass on the Smith goal was top notch.
I think Lars Eller is a good addition. And Karlsson is a good add to the PP. We need Jarry to stay healthy. Dubas has hitched his wagon to him with the contract extension. I like the other additions. Jeff Carter is looking really old. He barely moves.we can talk hockey all night.
I'll watch this later. Hopefully he's ok. One of my all-time favourites.
its amazing......I

Thanks for sharing. For many people my age, it was Mario and Marino at the top, but then Kevin Stevens in a tier just below them. I loved the guy.
Forget moving Harkins off that line, they just moved him off the team! Placed him on waivers this afternoon… that didn’t take long. Some thoughts on Pens 6-3 loss to the Redwings last night .......
- Horrible 2nd period followed by big push back in 3rd period by Pens but not enough (two empty netters by Redwings at the end).
- 3rd line defense was just awful (Ruhwedel and POJ) accounting for several goals against.
- Bottom 6 forwards providing no offense ...... I think they have 1 assist and no goals in 4 games ...... especially need more scoring from L3 (I think Harkins may need to be moved off that line).
- Crosby's line playing well.
- Malkin and Reilly Smith seem to be developing some good chemistry together.
- Karlsson ..... terrific talent.
- Almost sad to see how bad Carter is ...... they almost have to call another forward up (a 13th forward) so they can sit Carter .... Carter did get a breakaway last night on a nice stretch pass from Letang but could not convert.
- Jarry gave up 4 goals but his teammates pretty much left him out to dry .....
Goal 1 - Ruhwedel let a Redwing with the puck get around him at the Pens blue line creating a 2 on 1 ..... POJ stayed in the slot letting Jarry take the puck carrier ..... POJ job was to not let a pass across ice, unfortunately he let the pass get across and Jarry had no chance to get over and make a save.
Goal 2 - Ruhwedel bumped Jarry in the crease knocking him off angle then stood in the crease keeping Jarry from moving out, Redwings scored on a shot to the far side.
Goal 3 - Deflection by Redwing standing alone right in front of Jarry on a PP .... no chance to make the save.
Goal 4 - Jarry caught too deep in net ..... made save on the shot but gave up rebound at top of crease right on stick of Perron who smashed it in .... if Jarry was out far enough where he should have been, rebound likely bounces past Perron.
Goals 5 and 6 both empty netters.
- Apparently Letang and Acciari both hurt and didn't practice today.
- Would consider calling a forward or two up from WBS for bottom 6.
Harkins cleared waivers and sent down to WBS.Forget moving Harkins off that line, they just moved him off the team! Placed him on waivers this afternoon… that didn’t take long.
I was there at LCA Wed night, and as a Detroiter and Red Wings fan, thoroughly enjoyed the game. Pens came out sharp and scored the first goal about 50 seconds in, looked really sharp and had a flurry of early opportunities after that, then the Wings tightened up on the back end and tilted the ice the other way for the rest of the first period and all of the second. Solid fights toward the end of the 2nd, the kind you don't see much anymore in the NHL. In a past era, the Malkin/Mo Seider clash could have been epic. I'd say the better, or at least more talented team, lost. Wings have been in rebuild mode since Yzerman came home to be the GM, hard to tell so early on but maybe they're starting to come out of the woods. In Detroit, scored the first goal, gave up the next four. I’m not impressed by Sullivan s management and strategy. He has the talent to play better than this. They just don’t care about defense. Not one bit. I think he’s sucked as a coach for years.
