Pitt Football 2pm/Game Thread

How was it bogus? He hit him before the ball got there. It was a lame ass pass so shouldn’t have been called, but it was certainly PI

I’ve seen you complain about 200 calls that you think went against Pitt and zero that went the other way. Doesn’t seem possible that every single call goes against Pitt.

That play summarizes Pickett. Focused on 1 man. He has the arm no question, doesn't have the intangibles. Lopez was open.

Stanford sucks and giving us everything and coaches out coaching themselves. Pickett also showing the QB position should be open for anyone to take.

Not sure if it is coaching, Pickett, or a combination, but they’ve got to fix their passing game next year.

Not true at all, I’ve said we got many good calls.

How about give a call that was actually bogus instead of just being a contrarian

Play calling in the red zone is horrible. Run on 1st and 2nd down (completely predictable). Worse yet, our second down run is that lame wide pitch which never works. Third down and Pickett is rushed and can't find anyone. 3 instead of 7. Not good.

Cruzer

Why does it seem everytime we get in red zone is when Watson wants to try something fancy? Just run it up the middle?! One of a handful of coaches that breaks what working. I don't mind switching it up between the 40s but not when your 2nd and goal

Fair enough, you must admit though there are few things more lame than people saying “the refs are against Pitt” every single game.

If we get 7 here I think they have trouble coming back. Doesn’t really matter who they’re missing, Costello has had a nice year to this point and he looks like shit today. Defense deserves a lot of credit for that.

Are the receivers never open?...or does Pickett not see them? It seems he only throws the ball about 40% of the time he drops back.
