If the Pitt game was at noon....no one is going to PNC Sat night.

Ya, those extra 10,000 (maybe) that day in an 81 game schedule makes all the difference in the world. Probably enough extra gate to snag Kershaw. ..man the pirate hate around here sure does get tiresome..I'll just stick with "thanks, much appreciated"..

I highly doubt there is a 10K difference between 1:05 and 7:05 for a Saturday September Pirate game. 5K at the extreme most, but probably more like 2K-3K. That said, Nutting is a WVU fan and he doesn't contactually have to accommodate Pitt so from a business standpoint, i don't blame him for screwing Pitt as we think he does. As for this PSU game, I don't think he has much of a choice. He probably took too mucb criticism from both sides last time.

Why do I have a sneaky feeling that AD Barbour and HC Jim Franks will somehow put the kibosh on a 7:30 or 8:00 PM start?? Some bullshit about 'late starts' or 'study hours' or some other garbage? Just to piss on our parade. I don't trust 'em far as I can throw 'em...

Look, I agree with most of what you said. I and most others understand that the Pirates have control and influence over their game times. However, there have been 'some' posters in the past who have defended the Pirates by claiming that the Pirates have no influence once the schedule is set.

This is 100% true and I have argued with them myself. There is/was a clear contingent of Pirates have no control over game times because of TV.

Mrs Buffett and I will attend the early Pirates game and the evening PITT vs Nitters game.

Had it been reversed we would have attended the early PITT game and skipped the Pirates game for a night in the Country Bar ( Mrs Buffetts favorite) at Teqilla Cowboy. Mrs Buffett does ride the Bull but I don't. She grew up in Cowboy town I didn't.
So based on this schedule change Mr & Mrs Buffett add two people to the Pirates attendance numbers????

The ACC and Pitt control the times/broadcasts of Pitt HOME games, no one from UPS has any say in the matter at all!
