Oklahoma State would disagree with you. He first would have needed to make sure he was outside the tackle box, which he probably was not when he was trying to pick it up, and he also would have needed to make sure that there was a eligible receiver somewhere in the same zip code as he was throwing the ball.

as long as you are out of the pocket there doesn't need to be an eligible receiver around. Ball just has to get past the line of scrimmage

Hence why I pointed out number one, that Peterman would have to make sure he was outside the pocket. Which he probably was not when he picked up the ball.

I really only though there were a handful of insanely horrible play calls last week, but they cost us the game... plain and simple. But as much as everyone gets all over that it's worth noting, really well called game so far by Pitt.
