We've already been called for as many fouls in the second half than we were called for in the first half.
It's weird how often you see that. Refs will just completely change the way they're calling the game so as to hit some mental quota or something.
Five to one so far this half.
Wake with five to our four for the whole first half.
That’s 5 team fouls on Pitt in 4 minutes. Free throws are Wake‘s opportunity to get back into this game. They shoot 80% and refs are blowing their whistles much more this half.
Some of the best team defensive we've played all year in this game. With hedging, switching back to avoid mismatches, keeping guys in front of us to force the stepback bail out shot, and defensive rebounding.
Wake probably has one more push in them, we need to keep the clamps on them on D and then run up the score to leave no doubt. If we win by 25+, this will be big for the metrics
I think he’s been pretty much fair—lots of comments on Pitts defense
Now Wake has caught up to us in team fouls for the half, and both Reid and Hildreth have three.
I'd be lying if I said I'm not keeping track of the score in my head post 40-foot air ball. That was just such a bad shot by Blake.
There was a very real chance of NC State coming back and beating us. Hate to say it, but we may be heading down that avenue again.
Anyone feeling sick like its 2011 again? Credit to Capel for having us in this position. This is a good sick feeling because its March and we're playing for something
Saying it now: Better make this and most free throws to come. That very well may be what determines this game.
This is some of the dumbest basketball I have ever seen. If your going to foul, you need to be 100000000% sure you don't give up the layup!!!!
