Can someone inform me of the status of Ryan Luther. Has not had much playing time as of late. Was he not suppose to be a outside scoring threat. Seems JD should have provided him more playing time so he could get some experience moving into soph year.

Is RL still in the Pitt plans.

Poll or no poll, I meant to ask same question.

Could he have provided something last night or at WF.

What happens next season with him?

Redshirt or marked improvement and he finds his way into the rotation?

Whoa there buddy. Actually his freshman inexperience surfaced. Don't make the mistake that is often made here that he is a bust as a freshman because he isn't all conference already.

I'd redshirt. We are going to be really deep at the 4 spot, let him get stronger, I still think he has the ability to be a factor at this level.

Based on young soph class will he stick around. Based on JD'S player rotation it appears he will ride the oak for several more years. Is this kid willing to do this or maybe just get a lot better.

He looked overwhelmed in the games outside of the one game in Hawaii. He just needs time to develop.

The last time he played, he made two freshman mistakes on back to back plays and was pulled out. I think that was the 2nd Syracuse game.

He actually got a lot of his minutes early in the post, because Randall's ankle was bad and at 4 because Jeter was completely lost on defense and Artis was playing a lot of 3.

Wright came back, Randall came back, Jeter worked and at least quit losing his man defensively quite so often.

Luther got gun-shy shooting. After going 4/5 from 3-pt range against KSU, he has attempted only a total of 11 on the season.

He should have redshirted. With Artis, Jeter and probably a fair amount of minutes from Young at 4 ahead of him next year, he should red-shirt next season. The question is really can he play at either 3 or 5, either next season or EVER? I think he can get better snd contribute as an upperclassman. If he takes a red-shirt, he'd have two years to play after the large sophomore class is gone.
