Quinn Ewers Opting Out?

Exactly. NIL deals arent made public. Anything you see are just estimates. Sometimes a number will be made public because the school/collective wants it to be like some of those Miami deals and Nico Iamaleava ($8 million from the Tennessee boosters). The notion that Ewers is making $100,000 or $200,000 is ridiculous. Its several million from the boosters PLUS his legit NIL deals on top of that.
Last week you were claiming the top QBs were already at $5m a year. This week you claim it's $2m-$4m.

Any thoughts on what number you're going to make up next week?

Nobody with any type of NFL pedigree is staying in college because of NIL. Stop with your constant nonsense.

you've seen his w-2? Minimum "NFL Salary" is currently 750 grand...
Minimum NFL salary for first year rookies is $795k. That's basically a UDFA signing on with a team.

I'd be willing to bet there aren't many guys in college making $795k who project as UDFAs.

$5 million for top guys in the portal. I'd estimate Ewers's booster salary is $2 million (really lowballing it) to $4 million.

So you think Ewers took 50% below market value to stay with Texas?

Think about your pretend numbers before posting nonsense.

I'll ask again, what made up numbers will you post next week?

No, I think its closer to $4 million, maybe as much as $5 million.

Have you?

At no point has anyone intimated that Ewers would make the minimum NFL salary. That is a specious argument.
Nope, have not but I fell pretty safe in saying it makes its way into the 7 figure neighborhood, disagree?

You responded "not even close to an NFL salary" and I provided one. Correct? Feel free to bump it up to a million if you wish. Can't make up new parameters of what was said during said argument...btw, don't make me look up fancy words like specious anymore.

NCPitt loves amateur sports and he tries to convince himself that these guys are making maybe 20K or 30K so that in his mind, they are still amateurs but with a little bit of spending money.

Let's be clear. When people speak about "NFL salary", they speak of the salary for the player mentioned. The NFL minimum argument is far from realistic for Ewers at this point. I'd be willing to bet that he anticipates being drafted in the top half of the first round which would make his "NFL salary" far above "into the 7 figure neighborhood" you mention. The reality is that his expectations will cause him to opt out and go pro when the NFL feedback says it is the right time. His "pay" at Texas will not be a factor at all.

You can argue your technicalities all day long and prove that you have no clue what the real question is.

Never in a million years have I said anything like that.

I just think that your love for pro sports outstrips logic. For example, it is generally conceded that OSU and Oregon have the 2 highets paid teams at about $20 million. Yet you think 1 player is paid $5 million, or 25% of the entire team. That is illogical.

$20 million was last year. That's gone up exponentially. Lets lowball it and say Texas is paying $20 million this year, you think $5 million for a megastar QB is too much when you still have $15 million to give $500K here, 300K here, 200K here, 700K here. The QB is most important position that you need to take care of.

What do YOU think he's making? $500K? Oh wait, I forgot, you refuse to answer these types of questions.

Complete nonsense.
