This is a comment on philosophy. And also not a knock on the players we have gotten or are getting visits from. But I am glad for once we are putting our attention to players we have a real shot at and focusing on landing them. In the past we put so many resources on a guy like Efton Reid, who we realistically couldn’t beat LSU for. I think Cummings can be really solid. Don’t trust Hinson because of Gertz’s breakdown. But think Akok would be a really strong addition. And Meechie might come in and surprise even though he struggled at Ohio State. And I really like the Diaz brothers lengthy and possibly playing one at the 4 and one at the 5.
I am not all the sudden optimistic about next year. But I appreciate the attempts at recruiting players that are more in our wheelhouse. Now we still need to land some guys and we desperately need a shooter. But I am ok with where we are right now with rebuilding this roster.
