If true it would be a huge get. In this transfer window, we should be looking at 125, 133, 165? (1-year stopgap), and 184. 125 Babin is done and Tallmadge has not been healthy enough to show his talent, 133 I like Vinnie but a guy of Nic's caliber would make a big difference. I am not ready to give up on Ant yet, so at 141 I would give him and Priest another year to battle it out. 149 and 157 we have three really solid guys for 2 spots next year, we have to hope we keep all of them around or find a way to get them all in. With Vince coming in and likely a 165 long term I think a 1-year AA candidate rental could be perfect to let him RS. At 184 we have Kranitz who is a solid guy, but if we want to have someone close to Reece's caliber we would have to look to the portal.A well-known OSU poster on intermat thinks Nick Bouzakis is headed to Oakland

I don't quite understand this. Why not Keslar for another year at 165?Is Vince B the future at 165? If so, the stopgap transfer idea at 165 has to be explored. We have three 165s right now. If you have 3 you have none.
Nothing against Keslar, but until he qualifies for and win matches at NCAAs (which he very well could this year) a proven commodity will likely be the better option at the weight.I don't quite understand this. Why not Keslar for another year at 165?
Karson Brown has 1 year of HS left and then 1 year as a potential RS. If we keep Vinnie or add Nic, either way, they have two years of eligibility left which lines up perfectly for a Brown RS then slide into the lineup at 133. This is assuming he goes 133 obviouslyAt the very least, the depth is becoming very solid.
125 has options between Tallmadge, Marlow, and Tebo.
I still like Vinny but his lack of offense limits his upside so hard to not see Nic B taking over if he comes in.
Ant is a hell of an athlete at 141 but needs confidence at this level. Priest has potential but it hasnt clicked for him yet.
Finn is a good wrestler but Brown has more upside. Finn may be the odd man out at 149 which is kinda crazy for Pitt.
Where does Karson Brown slot?
Evans seems like a natural 157 so its his spot until someone beats him, which Im not sure happens bc of his motor and work ethic

Kranitz looked much better against ISU than he did early season, but not convinced that he is more than a #20-#30 guy at his best. Would love to be proven wrong
Hard to think that the arrow for Pitt is pointing anywhere but up
Idk, but he looks pretty natural at 149 to meWonder if Kade could go 141. He was at 138 senior year HS less than year ago.
I agree and I think cutting him down to 141 is a bit of an unnecessary riskIdk, but he looks pretty natural at 149 to me
We have to remember that Ant was hurt for most of last season so he missed crucial development time. I think looking at him more like a true freshman is the right thing. He clearly has ability. Just needs experience and confidenceI think Ant at 141 is fine specially if he tries to evolve a little bit more offense and then we also have Carson Walsh coming in at the same weight that he can at least push Anthony when he’s here
Hung tough tonight. We have to remember that Ant was hurt for most of last season so he missed crucial development time. I think looking at him more like a true freshman is the right thing. He clearly has ability. Just needs experience and confidence
Against Latona he hung tough! Finn bs Henson was fun.Hung tough tonight.
All matches streaming on FlowWrestling. Championships start at 3pm.WPIAL Championship Update - all Pitt commits are in the finals.
- Santino Sloboda at 127
- Evan Petrovich at 152
- Bode Marlow at 172
- Elijah Brown at 215
- Shep Turk at HWT (football commit)
I would expect all to win except for Petrovich. He's wrestling Maddox Shaw of TJ (Ohio State commit).
Marlow’s match should be good. Nice headlock by Brown hoping petrovich can close the gap on Shaw todayWPIAL Championship Update - all Pitt commits are in the finals.

I'm not familiar with the kid Marlow is wrestling - Hutcherson. Looks like a freshman with only 2 losses - both forfeit losses. Must be a stud if he's a freshman at that weight.Marlow’s match should be good. Nice headlock by Brown hoping petrovich can close the gap on Shaw today
BrownWhere’s Fanella going to school? He beat Wilochell in a close one.
have to assume that Mickey was the reason. As soon as he leaves Brown for PWC Fanella followedHe just flipped to Pitt!!!
Good call on thathave to assume that Mickey was the reason. As soon as he leaves Brown for PWC Fanella followed
Thats the life at a no schollie Ivy schoolNice pickup for the panthers, but I kinda feel bad for Leen and Brown. Magro flipped to Rutgers a few weeks ago and now this.
Thank you for sharing this! Results from Recruits:
West Region:
Sloboda won the west region at 127
Fanella won the west region at 133 and beat Willochell again
Petrovich at 152 lost by Fall in the Semis to Whitebred from State College (Was 8-8 at the time) and took 3rd. Whitbred took second to Shaw.
(Luckily Whitbred is a guy I think we have a real shot at getting in addition to Petrovich coming next season)
Marlow dominated his way to the 172lb finals where he got teched by Cunningham
Elijah Brown won at 215
Turk (Football Recruit) won the region at 285
Elsewhere:
Tristan Steldt won a WI State Title at 165
Karson Brown won his region at 126
Carson Walsh took second in the region (losing to Lehigh Commit Quenault)
