Rodney Hoopie...

Ran into his Dad a couple weeks back. Rodney Sr is a massive Capel fan. He couldn’t stop gushing over him. Not sure if the effusive praise was because he’s in love with Capel that much, or if it was a backhanded slap toward Narduzzi. He also loves Pitt, as Rodney Jr’s sister is on the Pitt Dance Team.

The whole recruitment strikes me as the bag was bigger at WVU and perhaps the fit was too. And that’s generally the case. I laugh at guys here who hold a grudge because a kid picks a different school.

If you go back to the older threads (pre-commitment), my opinion was the same- he was a typical overrated WPA kid. Matured early and the people around him did a good job with hyping him up. In no way was he worth a bidding "war".

Well good. Then Dad would fit in well here. And yes good riddance as we can’t afford to miss with the limited $$ we have.

Right, I don't understand the issue. PN wasn't willing to pay Rodney, ok. Looks like he was right so far, so props to Narduzzi.

If he was any good, going to WVU for a little NIL cash was stupid, because Duzz would have put him in the NFL as a DB. Instead, he's a player without a position on a team with a staff ready to get fired.

I remember when that recruitment was going on, someone here talked about a bag being dropped at a Uniontown establishment. Weird story, but maybe it was true. What I find kinda funny is that it is possible that the money in that bag is ultimately finding its way to Pitt, as maybe Sr is paying for his daughters tuition at Pitt.

By the way, when I talked with Sr, he was with another players Dad. And this dude claimed that there were more WVU fans at Acrisure two years ago…at which point I told him he lived in fantasyland, and Rodney Sr laughed at the guy.

Into his 2nd year, he is up to 16 balls for 154 yards and no TDs.

Pitt dodged an NIL mistake on this one.
He's not being used properly. Every time he touches the ball he shows good juke and jive, quickness and nice speed. He should be back on kick returns as well but he's not. Brown is either being too careful with him or just under utilizing him. He is better than how he's being used. Besides, he's just a true sophomore after 3 games. I don't know what you guys expect.

Eat shit you prick.

RG was in the game at the end as part of the hoopie D that gave up 2 touchdowns in the last few minutes that allowed Pitt to win.

The hoopies seem like they are grasping at straws in their secondary. Their CB wearing #1 was called for two defensive holding penalties and got away with another very obvious one that should’ve been number three.

If there are teams in the BigXII that can throw the ball reasonably well, they will be in a lot of trouble.

I still think there is room for developing players and guys breaking into starting roles in year 3 or 4. I get the whole NIL thing, but he was going to need time no matter what.

Well, yea. He could be an average starting WR as a junior or senior but so could a lot of guys. He was clearly not worth the money spent and you wonder if that money could have helped them elsewhere.

WHO Cares. Brown is fired next year. They will probably lose 5/6 games this year. He will be at Pitt ‘26 and 27.

Narduzzi clips "Former WPIAL Star" coupons out of Clipper Magazine.

75% discount on current NIL deal with one "last chance to put something on tape for the NFL" comment.
