Says the guy who's best playmaking guard barely averages a 3rd of Carl's assists per game. In fact - my top 2 guys average 8.6apg, yours - 4.9apg.

And we crush your perimeter play yet again with rebounding. Your 1-3 average 6.9rpg total. My 1-3 average of Krauser, Taylor, & Brown almost double you up with 11.8rpg.
My 4/5 also out rebound yours 14.9tpg to 14.0rpg, for a starting 5 average of 26.7rpg to 20.9rpg. Murder Hornets dominate across the board on everything but perimeter shooting, where you would have a slight advantage - if your short slow shooters could even get open on my defensively dominant perimeter. And if they did ever get open - Murder Hornets would just bight their heads off.

When you shoot over 50% from the field and over 80% from the line there aren’t that many rebounds on my side of the court to get ! If you think Zanna and Varga out rebound McGhee and Young you’d be mistaken .
My guys make their shots , once again when you shoot over 50% as a team their aren’t that many stats other than shots made !
What the heck are you even talking about? Ramon shot 45% overall, Young shot 45% overall (a Big under 50%?), Mathews hit on a white hot 46%. And yes - Zanna & Vargas did & would outrebound that malignant cancer, and McGee.

I feel like he's talking circles around me. But Murder Hornets are hanging in there, taking what the opponent is giving them, and counter punching.
Unless they all played at the same time stats are just a small factor in determining how a group of guys from different eras would’ve played . Stats also are dependent on who you play with and against . If Jerome Lane is grabbing 13 rebounds a game your other players rebound stats would suffer that doesn’t make them any less a rebounder .
Your right my team would only shoot high 40% on an average night from the field and over 80% from the line which would handily be enough for a victory .
Your dislike for Young takes nothing away from how good a player he was ( and the same can be said for Artis ) . Young was far more talented than Zanna or any of your other forwards and putting him with a physically strong center would’ve made him much more effective .
I watched McGhee at Greentree toy with both Zanna and Taylor, , your grossly underestimating how good Gary McGhee was as a senior .
If my team was being out rebounded I simply put Chad Johnson in for JJ , Chad was a strong rebounder and defender .

Apparently you didn't watch Zanna as a Senior, as his defensive stats are well ahead of both your guys. But I do agree Sr. McGee was a handful for Zanna as a Redshirt Freshman. I'm sure that was a huge mismatch, but it would go the other way if you match up their Senior years, as we have here in this game we are sorta actually playing.
McGhee continued to play at Greentree well after his Pitt career was over .
For my team to be effective I needed a glue guy in the middle and to give space for Young to operate and to lean on the other teams centers . McGhee at least has a chance to battle someone like Blair were Zanna would be shoved into the cheap seats !
I think the CougarClaws back court wins this one. Ramon at PG hurts and Taylor can give Matthews some trouble.

There were between 50-72 votes in yesterday’s matchups, but only 33-35 in today’s matchups.
It's the sticky thing. Personally - I had it turned off for years, sure I'm far from the only one. Ski Let me know round 2pm thankfully.
That’s interesting. I thought the voting would be much higher on the free board. My first round match on the pay board tourney had around 100 votes and I wouldn’t think that board gets the traffic this one does.
They were running 50-70 with the first 4 here, this round looking more like 40 per. A light turnout for sure.

Well Fsgolfdr - given the light voter turnout your 3 vote lead looks pretty strong about now. I believe my team would take a significant majority of real games, however in this format, with your master debater skills, doesn't look good.

BTW - one would have thought you of all people would have have seen the mismatch here in team construction, and Murder Hornets ability to shut down slow footed one dimensional shooters with no playmakers to be found.

I think your under appreciating my squad . I understand your feeling about MY , but at the 4 with his size and skills playing with a real center whose play elevates all his teammates he becomes unstoppable. Double him then my outside sharp shooters will kill you especially JMathews .
What would be great is to assemble all the players and play an actual half court tournament . Some guys are too old to go full court ! Youth would be served, but it would be fun !
I went back and forth on this game a bunch, in the end I voted for Team Murder Hornets but it was a very close call for me. I think that in a one game situation that Team Murder Hornets wins because of Carl but I think that over a series I would rather have a more diverse offense so it depends on the general structure.
