Geez can’t believe I just typed that . But out of curiosity I used the fbschedules website which is very accurate and compared ooc schedules for the rest of the decade for ACC schools since Pitt rarely ever releases this type of information . I do remember in Nov. of 2019 I believe Heather mentioning some forthcoming announcements . Since then nothing I do believe has come from Pitt but the fbs site did list future series like the Wisconsin one in 2026 -2027 And a few FCS one game series and the home and home with WMU.As of now on this site Pitt has 16 openings to fill for the rest of the decade if theACC sticks to their eight game league schedule.. We have the most openings of ant league school followed by Virginia with 14, Miami 14, FSU 12 and Duke 11. t
The least openings are Clemson And Wake Forest with six and BC and Louisville with seven and Syracuse with 8.I am beginning to think that Pitt is having trouble with guarantee games or Group of Five schools insisting on home and home series like Marshall and WMU have. Any haughty or scoops.?

We have the unique position of wanting to have a slot available for an in state rival who doesn't seem to want to play us. It was rumored we would play Alabama neutral recently but I think that fell through and probably mercifully so.

Getting FCS guarantee games will be no problem. You can add one of them to most of the future schedules and we're suddenly looking right. We have our P5 home and homes looking right for the near future, too.

You will note Penn State has openings late in the decade and I suspect we'll hold out until those are filled. Heather Lyke sent over a contract for a series with them in the past and may continue to do so or perhaps that contract is officially pending, however unlikely it is for it to ever be signed.

But maybe best of all, if Penn State won't cooperate WVU has an opening for the 4 years after the current series expires, too...

well 7 0r 8 of those will be filled by the annual fcs game. Also have a hunch there will be more wvu games.
