We haven't even tried to throw downfield at all. The offense won us games early, but, it's gone. When the defense refuses to tackle, and gets out of position, you get a ass beating when you play a good team.

No, I haven't. I've been too busy going to the games. I also don't take too highly to smart ass comments. Typical Pitt fan who hasn't been around long enough to be a real fan.
Teams adjusted. He's not getting his 2-4 deep freebies every week. His passer rating is not good. Like I said, I tip my cap to what he's done in spite of all this. But the stars very much aligned for him to get to this point.
Hate to say it, but the Pitt offense looks terrible so far tonight. Holstein is either intimidated or is not 100%. The defense is doing what the Pitt defense does, they give up one or two big plays in most games. The two NONE WRAPPING UP tackles that led to big plays is bad.
Also, it does appear that Narduzzi has become more involved in the decision making tonight as well. Pitt not going for it on 4th and 3 down in the 2nd quarter and deciding to kick a FG that was missed is not a good sign. You are losing by 11, show some confidence in your team and its OC!!!

So now maybe you'll believe it when Pitt goes 8-4 and why. We haven't played anyone this good all year. And it shows.

We are every bit as bad as we look tonight. Getting physically handled all over the field. We just haven’t played anybody, and that’s what we’re seeing right now.
Eli needs to learn to take what he’s given. He could have run for that first down easily if he’d have made that decision quickly. Instead he kept rolling to the boundary and looking downfield for something that wasn’t there. He's holding the ball way too long. In the process of doing so on that play he took a sack and caused a hold.
