This time last year, I was figuring out where the heck I'm going on the field, what I'm supposed to be doing,” he said. “ ‘Do they need me to play right away? How is this going to work? Am I even any good?'

“Now it's, ‘How can I do this to the best of my ability and how can our O-line be better as a whole?'

“I can just go now and tee off on guys and not have to worry if I'm doing this right because I know what I'm doing now and I feel comfortable doing it. I'm not nervous anymore.”

O'Neill said he started to feel like one of the guys by the sixth game last season when Pitt beat Georgia Tech, 31-28, and ran for 200 yards.

“It came to the point we weren't just running to the left side in that game,” he said. “It came to the point where it was third-and-1 and fourth-and-1, and they said, ‘We're running behind you.' That was huge for me.”

....................

“Brian O'Neill is going to be a great offensive tackle at the next level, and he's going to be a great one for us,” he said. “He's all in, and it's a great move. I'm not a genius, though. We had to do that. It didn't take a genius to figure that one out.”

Note: Narduzzi announced Bisnowaty, Conner and defensive end Ejuan Price were named co-captains by a vote of their teammates. The coach said they received 70 percent of the votes.

Good point, to me shows they pay attention to the details, understand it takes time, but get help and in time, if you work at it, keep failing, it comes to what you are suppose to do, and Teammates help you do better. Each Player is different, but one can see this Coaching Staff is there for you and every Player too, Confidence comes when you start to do it right after not knowing hoe to do it. The when your Teammates say we need you I am running behind you,you take that pride and just get better and better!

I am very high on this Coaching Staff because they get it in Defense and OL, it about each Player becoming a Coach for Each other, then let Skill Player do their stuff and struts, but coordination on OL, DL is so important..
