Now that it appears that this is a done deal, the bottom line is simple. Barnes owns this. Barnes thumbed his nose at the fan base and orchestrated a deal that is extremely questionable on ethics. If, by some miracle, Stallings gets us to a sweet 16 or elite 8 soon, Barnes will be a genius. If not, he will quickly move into the Steve Pederson camp for AD's who were despised. If Barnes had gone for a young up and comer and he didn't work out, I think the fan base would be somewhat tolerant. With the Stallings hire, he better be right. Of course, he's probably got a golden parachute working for Turner. The whole thing makes me want to take a shower.
