The season's issues.

1. Penalties - 94 penalties for 833 yards, 69.42 penalty yards a game. This ranks us 6th worst in the FBS.

2. Dropped Passes- Leads the FBS with 41 dropped passes this season.

3. Red zone efficiency- ranked 104 in the nation with 36 red zone trips, 16 touchdowns and 12 field goals...only bowl eligible teams with worse red zone efficiency are Utah State, Miami (FL,) Missouri, BYU, FIU, Temple.

4. Passing Efficiency (a computation of passing attempts, completions, yards, Touchdowns and Interceptions)- ranked 104 in the nation. Only bowl eligible teams with a worse passing efficiency number is Kentucky, Wyoming, Michigan State and Nevada. This could have been much better if we didn't drop 41 passes, but still for a predominant passing team this is disturbing.

5. Rushing game- 113th in the nation in rushing yards and we are tied for the 7th worse team in rushing touchdowns.

6. Turnover margin: -4, not great....the only games all season where Pitt won the turnover margin was against UCF, Delaware, Duke and UNC

In HCPN 5th season the penalties are unacceptable. I was expecting our offense to struggle with a new OC this season and a completely different offensive mindset and losing 4 of our 5 starting OL and both of our starting RBs. That being said we are lacking significantly in the offensive playmaker department and our OL and OC cannot establish any sort of rushing game.

The lack of a running game was huge. Some games they don't even try. Especially in the red zone. Too pass happy.

Kenny tries to throw everything too hard. Sometimes you need a little touch. He tries to fire everything in, and it hurts his accuracy.

Especially when the weather is less than optimal. If you can't establish any sort of run game you are going to be rendered useless on offense

Our running backs are terrible. Put Ollie or hall behind the Ol and they at least have an ok running game. While the OL was not good at run blocking the backs left a lot of yards on the field by not hitting holes with conviction and being unable to break arm tackles

C’mon, it only took Pat 3 years to figure out the OL Coach wasn’t developing or recruiting good players.
