The U offered Henry Milller

Ironic that him and hill did their commitment at the same exact time as they wanted to play together, now this news.

More from Vukovcan

**Here’s some information I was just told concerning Henry Miller and the ramifications of him visiting Miami. According to a source, Pitt is still committed to Miller. However, Miller opens himself up to losing a spot if there is another need Pitt needs to fill.

Pull his scholarship and offer it to a kid who actually wants to be here. Dont need another "entitled" recruit who thinks he's doing Pitt a "favor" by coming here.

I'm all for putting a little bit of pressure on a recruit when it comes to keeping their commitment, but you can't blame a kid for wanting to visit the local school who has a new coaching staff.

And he's gonna take a visit. Vukovcan said he's not sure what it means in terms of his future with Pitt.
Of course he's going to take the visit, wouldn't you??? Let's not forget that we are talking about a 17-18 year old kid who is being pursued by some of the better football programs in the country and now has a chance to go to Miami, Florida in the middle of January...wouldn't you take the trip???
We all know what "verbal commitments" mean. so let him take his visit and see if he likes Pitt better.
The only thing is really concerns me about the entire topic is, someone has a "source" that is using words to "pressure" the kid about his decision. If your source is within the Pitt AD, they should not be talking about negatively any potential recruits.

How long has Richt been there? All of a sudden he gets an offer because they missed on other Top DB's? He is a priority recruit for PITT, just like Hudson, feel for these kids because they are option B for alot of these schools, where we have them as Option A at PITT.

He has already been informed that his ship will be in danger if he takes other visits so there is no need to be so drastic right away. God forbid a kid wants to make sure he is doing what's best for him.

I missed your posts calling for other schools to pull the offers from their committed kids who are looking at Pitt.

^^ see jonah morris ^^ most kids growing up in ohio want to be a buckeye. other schools have been recruiting him hard but he's holding out for OSU even though he's a plan C or D for him. he will still go to OSU if offered. the home team for many kids will have a strong attachment.

look at shaw the local kid for us. he was a plan c for narduzzi, but now were recruiting him harder. it is what it is. he might come here but he's not all that excited about pitt.

Hill wants to be here and Miller clearly looks at it as settling. Affirm Hill's offer, dump Miller's, and let Hill formally commit. Looks inevitable that Miller will commit to the U after his visit, anyway.

southside if your talking about tyrone hill, umm no thanks. there is a big difference between miller and the hill kid. that hill kid has zero p5 offers and he plays at one of the best high schools in the country. he's gotten plenty of attention and no one wants him. just because he wants to be here doesn't mean we should take him. coaches do not believe he's a good player. durkin pulled his ship when he took over.

Wouldn't call Henry Miller a hometown kid he is northern FLA not South, I get your point.

Shaw wasn't a plan C recruit, we wanted him at LB, not RB, now we will consider but I think he ends up on Defense if he does come to PITT. Also his other options are Western Michigan & Cuse, not really where PITT currently is. If PITT were Cuse type program right now, I can see why Henry Miller would strongly consider Miami, but we are about the same & Narduzzi proves he can develop DB's not sure what Richt developed at Georgia besides disappointing seasons?

Tyler Boyd visited Tennessee late.....

Curious to know how many times you high fived your buds after another Boyd Touchdown.....

Or....were you shaking your head in disgust muttering under your breath...."we never should have taken him. I wish they pulled his offer".....

I didnt think so.......

I was speaking about him at RB. He's a plan C at best. Behind Sanders and Washington that we know of, there might be others. Btw, he's pretty bold telling Pitt he will only play RB considering his offer sheet. This late in the game were in on some higher rated kids and hope the coaches can close on some others where we have a bigger need.

These days I don't know how bold it is. If he wants to play RB, good for him. And if he's any good the NFL will know whether he plays at Alabama or in the middle of some corn field in the Midwest.

Southside, you sound like one of those idiots over on BWI. Just because a kid pauses to consider a new offer from a big school, and a local one at that, does not make him "entitled". That's BS. And it doesn't mean he thinks "he is doing Pitt a favor" if he comes here. He's considering another offer, as he should, and as I would advise him to do if he were my son.

Nor does he "clearly look at (Pitt) as settling." He is simply considering a new possibility. He may end up staying with Pitt because he thinks its the best place for him. Or not. But please stop laying absurd judgments on the kid, based on nothing.

By the way, Henry Miller has the better offer list, but go watch the two of them back to back on Hudl. Hill looks really good, and he looks better than Miller. He has that aggressiveness that Narduzzi likes, so I can see why PN is recruiting him. Miller not as much.

I'll be ok with either one, but frankly, based on what I've seen, I'd rather have Hill.

I respect your opinion, but my perception based on what we know circumstantially is that he's not "pausing" to "consider" an offer; he is as good as gone. I could be dead wrong and will admit it if Miller commits to Pitt instead of Miami. My point is that Pitt needs to do what is best for its program, and for the reasons you just mentioned I would lock up Hill at the expense of Miller's offer.

The question you have to ask yourself, why are p5 coaches not offering him? This late in the game and he has a weak offer sheet and he's demanding that he will only play RB. Let me know how that works out. Oh by the way, he gets an offer from his home town school and he wants to visit Syracuse. Whatever.

I don't disagree. It was telling that his original commitment was to a directional Michigan. And if he stinks at RB any school he goes to is going to try to convert him. And if he doesn't like that he'll end up at Cal U or IUP.

And as far as Cuse - the new head coach is from the directional Michigan so there's a connection.

While he is from Kissimmee, Miami is a lot further south and those who live there live a whole other type of lifestyle down there. Remember, this is a 17-18 year old kid who right now thinks that the world revolves around him. He gets a free vacation and gets to hang out with some players that he saw on TV and the girls that follow them around...again, we'd all take the visit.
If he commits to Miami. then so be it. All that means is that he was never Pitt's any way.
