Ole Miss sold its initial ticket allotment of 10,000 in just two days before requesting and receiving an additional surplus from the bowl. Ole Miss also agreed to accept a portion of Pitt’s ticket allotment and sold 5,556.

We didn't give our tickets to Ole Miss. Their fans called our ticket office and bought tickets. Dont know about the Fiesta Bowl.

Why is it not surprising that you "know" something that is wrong? We gave a large percentage of our tickets to both Mississippi and to Utah to sell to their fans. Did some Ole Miss fans and some Utah fans get them directly from our ticket office? I'm sure they did. But all that means is that Pitt actually sold even less tickets to Pitt fans. That isn't some sort of mark in Pitt's favor.
