Time for reinvention?

Taking the time to review threads the Saturday morning and I must say the Dr. VonYinzer is absolutely correct, in my opinion, about the screw up by Pederson. He really caused and provoked a ton of animosity among alumni and fans alike. What a dick and so glad the new chancellor did the honorable and right think. Was speaking to a football alum from the 60's and he commented that when Gallegher went to a game and saw only 20 some thousand in the seats that sealed smiley's fate. Hail To Pitt! What a dick!

I'm a big fan of the 70s/80s/early 90's uniform variations, but I think they got it right with the simple re-introduction of the script in the "modern" color scheme. It looks sharp, it's distinctive to Pitt, and I don't think a drastic overhaul is necessary. Maybe just add consistency of script on both the jersey and helmets?

Creating a football "brand" along side the block branding for other sports seem like a very good marketing model. You create demand for new football attire, you don't kill the block merchandise demand, and you preserve the "old school" merchandise market. I will certainly be a buyer of all three.
