ND is playing zone against F S U. No doubt they will play zone against Pitt. I think we match up against them every where except at the center. Mooney will be tough against Pitt. I'd say maybe we can get him in foul trouble but that would entail the refs making calls against the Irish, which would violate ND's contract with the ACC.
I don't quite follow the logic here. If as you say, we "match up against them every
where except at center"......then the "zone" that you feel they will play against us
basically does away with the positive match up in your basic premise. Point being,
ND agrees with what you're saying, so to counter it they're going zone agaainst
us. So far, in ACC games we have stunk against any and all zone defenses.
We have one outside threat, no inside presence, and McGowens as been
all but eliminated as an offensive threat.
Maybe you know something that we haven't seen Pitt do agaisnt a zone.
Wth all that said, IF they go man to man against us, I agree with you about
our matching up well against them.
