The second to last possession by X was one of the absolute dumbest things I’ve ever seen on a basketball court. This loss is on McGowens though, I seriously can’t even stand watching him play anymore.

An awful 4-15 from the field, a terrible 1-6 from beyond the arc, and an unacceptable 3-6 from the FT line. All of that was on display in the final minute also, chucks up a 3 even though he’s a terrible shooter that shouldn’t be attempting 3s at all. Bricks 2 FTs when we’re down 1. Then he tries to do it all himself through 3 defenders on the last possession.

No way in hell would I start McGowens on Wednesday night. At minimum I’d sit him to start the game just to send a message. Although I’d seriously consider giving him way less minutes on top of that.

That Choice to take a 3 there was unbelievably stupid... you should be driving the hoop get fouled you have at least 2-3 shots at getting points there... a 3 is 50/50 at best and if you don’t get the rebound it’s absolutely a wasted trip period

Pitt was down one there ... horrible decision making there

I wish Capel had 2 other guards so the 2 NBA guys we had could be put on the bench where they belong.This loss was alot due to their PP play.Really X NBA ??

Yep. There is no sugarcoating this one. It is a killer loss that a team like Pitt cannot afford in ACC play. I commented yesterday that this was close to a must-win.

We could well be 1-6 in conference heading into the BC game now. My hope was to get this one and somehow get another W out of the next 4. That's out the window. It'll be a minor miracle if we go 2-2 in the next 4.

I agree that he is, and yeah he does a lot of good things on the defensive end. To say he’s been disappointing on the offensive end though would be a huge understatement. He’s been absolutely killing us and very rarely has the good outweighed the bad.

He should rarely ever be shooting 3s to begin with. There aren’t even words to describe the stupidity in attempting one at that point in time.

Agreed. When it’s all said and done I don’t think we’re gonna look back and say this loss killed anything.

NIT???? LOL!!! We'll be very lucky to get 4 more wins total this year, if we keep playing selfishly as we did today. Our 2 so-called guards dribble a lot and put up bricks while out of control, then forget to play defense on the other end. X is still at least 2 years away from even sniffing an NBA possibility, and I doubt it will happen if his play this year is any indication. Both he and Trey are way too selfish at times, and it hurts the team.
