Chambers has never had the talent Dixon or Huggy has had over the years.Now the talent is coming to Penn State so we'll see what kind of coach he is with decent players.I doubt Pitt or WVU wants to play them in the future.Dixon's recruiting is slipping some and teams will figure out Huggins gimmick defense next year.What this means is PSU is rising,Pitt is stagnant, WVU dropping in the coming years!

So what you are saying is that Chambers is like just about every other Penn State head coach. If they think they might be able to beat you then they want to play. If they think there's a pretty good chance you'll beat them they run away crying for their mommy.

Girl you are right about PSU not really wanting to play Pitt.The reason is simple their fans are afraid of getting attacked and abused by Pitt fans!!!Opps thats what another teams fanbase says about playing WVU,sorry about that.No Girl the reason was Pitt was just way better than Penn State and Penn State couldn't beat them,simple as that.Now PSU has the horses coming and would like to see how they stack up with Pitt in the future.I'd love a home and home with Pitt and WVU in the future,It would be great for basketball in this area.Chambers has the arrow pointing up and he'd gladly play Pitt&WVU in a home and home.

PS got spanked by Duquesne for crying out loud. I would not mind playing a good team like UConn, Nova, Temple, WV, etc, but PS has had 1 winning season in 5 years under Chambers. I think PS should stay in their lane and play Bobby Mo if they want to play a team from Pittsburgh. You could do a hockey/bball game. Oh wait - Bobby Mo beat the Nitters in the Pittsburgh Hockey Classic the last 2 years and now do not want to play them. Typical PS

Before the game this year the Penn State coach talked about how them playing a game at Consol was great, it was great to play in an NHL arena, it gave all their western PA alums a chance to see the team, etc, etc. And then immediately after the game and their loss he said that it was too bad but they just couldn't find a way to fit an event like that into their schedule so they wouldn't be playing in it anymore. It was so transparent it was laughable.

You're right, the Nits stopped the series after they were basically slaughtered during the last 5 games of the 6-game series.

Playing PSU is like playing Duquesne. It's nice because they're local, but it hurts our strength of schedule.

His excuse for not playing in the CBI or other Off- Off- Off- Broadway post-seasons tourneys was "the guys were just spent." Wow- great competitive drive there. Guess the 100 teams in the NCAA tournament and NIT just didn't give their all and get tuckered out the way PSU players did, because somehow they still have energy left to keep playing.

What are local papers doing reporting on sports for an out-of-town team that is involved with child rape?

The day will never come when Pitt will be afraid to play a second rate basketball team like PSU. medixman says PSU has recruits coming in. If they do, and that is a BIG IF, they still wouldn't come within 20 points of Pitt or WVU, ever. Chambers sucks as a coach at any level, except maybe middle school somewhere. The problem with Pitt playing PSU at any time is that it will negatively impact our RPI. Playing a Kent State or a middle of the pack P5 school would serve us better. Beating PSU, as we always do, wouldn't move the needle for us.
