What round was Robert Foster picked in ?

Facts are facts.
He was in the Bama starting rotation but wasn't used much at key times in the first three games before being injured in the Old Miss game. He had 10 catches for 116 yards with many of those catches coming later in games that were put away.
So he was in the lineup but not a difference maker or standoutWR.
Now he has to fight his way back in the lineup competing with lots of other younger talent and hope he stays injury free.
Everyone wishes him well but he's atleast two years behind and who know if luck isn't on his side.
He needs two good solid years. Had he come to PITT he would have been off to the NFL now.
This is soooo wrong its laughable. He had 2 tds in 2 games( 10 catches for 130 yards ) before he got hurt......wow

He rotated in the starting line-up at WR and played the first 3 games not 2.
The BAMA site uses the term rotated in as a starter in the first 3 games. So your facts are wrong!
The first 3 games are the "blow out " games so that's where his stats were generated.
So if you take the three game blow out game stats and expand them to a 12 game schedule he ends up with 520 yds for the year? Doubt he would have done better or played more in the tough games.
So there's two questions and we have to answer to one and one is data not available NA.
1. Would he have done better if he selected PITT? Answer: Yes based on where Boyd is going.
2. How will he do at BAMA? Answer: NA ( data not available & the timeline to excel is now shorter)
I'm not picking on the guy just putting the real deal on the table.
He picked a High Risk High Reward place to play!
Decisions, decisions, decisions, they all count in life so make as many good ones as possible! Or not.

Ya, that's way more important than getting to the NFL.....
He still has a great chance to get to the NFL. He might even be drafted higher than Boyd. We really don't know yet. But the post laughed at "dreams" so how does that not count? That is way, way, way more common of a dream than playing at "your hometown" school.

You have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. None.

I don't fault Foster. But I expect the current staff to start keeping more kids like him home.
Absolutely and they have to. Can't blame them for picking top programs out of the area, though. Heck, some kids just need to get away anyway, so even if CPN gets Pitt close to that level, you still can't get everyone.

Education??? Dreams??? Never heard of any WPIAL players say their dreams were to play for Alabama. $$$$$

Interesting point. Even in Namath's case, I've read that he was all set to go to Maryland except for one significant detail: Maryland's admissions office, (Ironic in that Namath played such a significant role in building Alabama into the name it's been since the '60s.)

That's the problem who ever asks those questions. Just questions regarding playing ball. If We win a championship it's all upfront, if someone else does its $$$$. Wow the dignity of college ball starts and stops at the Cathedral, beyond those walls its $$$$. Wow

I root for all WPIAL kids to make the NFL and be stars. Foster still might make it, but it's clear, he made thr wrong decision. If he would have went to Pitt, he would be cashing a 6 figure check in a couple weeks. Instead, he has to fight for his job back. He's lost at a minimum 1 year of earning potential, BAD CHOICE!
How can you be so sure he woudln't have got hurt at Pitt?
Because if he didn't get hurt, he would have been cashing those checks.

Or that there would be enough production for both him and Boyd to both thrive after only 3 years and both be high draft picks. Such a stupid argument, which really points out the crazies.

He has two championships rings not too shabby. I was disappointed that he didn't come to Pitt but it's over with it. Robert Foster dislike is reaching Rushnel Snell, Anthony Morrelli, Nick Marmo, and I'm probably leaving out someone.

I almost made that exact point instead, but didn't want to get into it.
We didn't have the QB play to really up the numbers much more, was Boyd worse than Foster would have been then?

Seems to be the argument of the 'Foster would be a first rounder if he just went to Pitt' crowd.
I mean, Boyd got drafted pretty high mainly on production. Would he have been screwed with Foster here? Or would he have had the same production and Foster would have been his 2nd guy, in which case he would have had like 20 catches and coming back next season..sort of like he is at Bama.

Maybe his dream was to complete for and win a National Championship or even a conference Championship.
And Foster did both, and still is coming back to play from an injury, plus Foster has the skills, speed, and size to have an NFL Career. I wanted him at Pitt but he chose Bama just like Sunseri did, and if Pitt wanted Foster too, that is good enough for me to salute Foster and Bama for being good enough to play together.

Although Foster and Boyd would have made a Dynamic Duo at Pitt as WRs, it was not meant to be, and Foster could have been injured at Pitt too. I wish him the best as well as his best days ahead of him at Bama, in NFL, and beyond into Coaching.

Once Foster Career is over at BAMA or NFL, and he can Coach like many Bama Player's Alumni, I have no problem with him returning to the Western Pennsylvania Region and being a Pitt Coach either.

Bama gave Pitt its highest percentage winning coach in Pitt History, I will always be indebted for that Coach known as Jackie Sherrill that was credit to College Football, Bama and Pitt too!

BAMA 2016 ROSTER LOADED AGAIN LINK:

Receivers
Gone
: Richard Mullaney, Chris Black
Back: Calvin Ridley, ArDarius Stewart, O.J. Howard, Robert Foster
Next in line: Cam Sims, Daylon Charlot, Delonte Thompson, Derek Kief, Hale Hentges
Wide receiver was perhaps Alabama's biggest question mark entering the 2015 season, with Heisman finalist Amari Cooper gone, in addition to DeAndrew White and Christion Jones. Circumstances change drastically entering 2016, with nearly everyone back but Mullaney to make the transition to a new quarterback much easier. Ridley, a five-star recruit, became a star as a true freshman, catching 89 passes for 1,045 yards and seven touchdowns. Stewart, who will be a junior, added 63 catches for 700 yards. Foster was widely expected to be a breakout star, but he was knocked out for the season in September by a shoulder injury and should return to the lineup in 2016.
