I don’t think there’s any comparable pressure in sports. This is where the most sufferable heart ache happens. Losing in PKs.

I need this game to finish in the next 9 minutes to watch this, lol.Going from this to watching Trubisky vs Darnold is going to be a jarring experience
I’d say a free throw with little to no time on the clock when tied or down 1 would be comparable.I don’t think there’s any comparable pressure in sports.
Game-winning field goal attempt with a title on the line as well.I’d say a free throw with little to no time on the clock with a game within 1 point would be comparable.
Scott Norwood disagrees!I don’t think there’s any comparable pressure in sports.
Should be extra time with sudden death, but I’m not sure I have a voice since I don’t follow soccer. Just my opinion. Not suggesting I have a solution but I hate that a major soccer event can end like this.
A championship feels like it should be won in game play and not a skills competition. NHL playoff sudden death overtime is excellent.Should be extra time with sudden death, but I’m not sure I have a voice since I don’t follow soccer. Just my opinion.
I thought of that as well, my thinking is that taking a PK in that situation is more of a mental pressure than anything.I’d say a free throw with little to no time on the clock when tied or down 1 would be comparable.
Oh man, speaking of, the lead in to the Buffalo/Miami game last night was unwatchable. Was there lots of laughing at inane, pre-written, pre-rehearsed, spontaneous jokes?
If so, then like every other NFL pregame chucklefest for the last couple of decades.
How about the crew making it sound like the game was being played in Antarctica while it was 31 degrees.Oh man, speaking of, the lead in to the Buffalo/Miami game last night was unwatchable.

They almost won without benzema pogba and the flu. Teams is stacked.Mbappe is going to be beyond scary, scary, scary good in the future, and he is scary good now. 4 world cup finals goals in back to back tournaments at 23 years old is insane.
Pele is still the best, Messi top 3 all time. Mbappe already blew past Ronaldo and will pass Messi before his career is done. And he might pass Pele too.
Comparable to NHL, shootouts to end ties during the regular season are fine but it has to be sudden death for the playoffs.Should be extra time with sudden death, but I’m not sure I have a voice since I don’t follow soccer. Just my opinion.
Yeah. That one dude from France wasn't lucid when he went down from exhaustion.Comparable to NHL, shootouts to end ties during the regular season are fine but it has to be sudden death for the playoffs.
Would like it to be the same way for soccer but with the typical low scoring, no telling when a match may end. There’ve been some long Stanley cup playoff games but potential to be a good bit longer in soccer.
And think of the players. After running 6 miles in the 1st 90 minutes, just not practical.
He is amazing and France always seems to find great players to complement.Mbappe is going to be beyond scary, scary, scary good in the future, and he is scary good now. 4 world cup finals goals in back to back tournaments at 23 years old is insane.

Nah. I love PKs. There is no other pressure than a PK. The keeper rarely saves it and when they do it is amazing. And there is so much pressure that the top players can sky one into the crowd. Not suggesting I have a solution but I hate that a major soccer event can end like this.
Effing clowns.
Pele is the GOAT and always will be.Mbappe is going to be beyond scary, scary, scary good in the future, and he is scary good now. 4 world cup finals goals in back to back tournaments at 23 years old is insane.

Perhaps because a match like this is once every 4 years at most ?I don't see how people can think soccer is boring
There is absolute no reason to ever watch that crapEffing clowns.
A championship feels like it should be won in game play and not a skills competition. NHL playoff sudden death overtime is excellent.
Ummm come on. Pogba? Kante is their best player. .They almost won without benzema pogba and the flu. Teams is stacked.
France would’ve won with Pogba, he would’ve had his witch doctor cast a spell on the Argentinian side.Ummm come on. Pogba? Kante is their best player. .
It wasn’t a great World Cup. But that ended up being a dream final. The scumbags at FIFA came out smelling like a rose after 1000’s died in the oppressive country that was awarded host.Perhaps because a match like this is once every 4 years at most ?
But it was fabulous no doubt !
You just said as to why I think they’re not that special….the keeper rarely saves it. Just seems like they too easy so there isn’t as much pressure on the kicker as is being made out here. At least there shouldn’t be.Nah. I love PKs. There is no other pressure than a PK. The keeper rarely saves it and when they do it is amazing. Love it.
That was honestly one of the weirdest "celebrations" I've seen at any sporting event. Although, he will be remembered forever.I can't link it but Martinez although a great gk seems to be an absolute douchbag holding the cup out like a giant dong
You can’t compare the two, the Super Bowl is a league championship that is played every year and the World Cup is an International even played every four.
The world can’t handle the rigors of the SEC schedule - that’s why they finance their waterbeds and watch jogging
Because they have no way of learning or playing American football?Anyone still wondering why the World Cup is watched and loved by a billion people.
Oh god, if the US was in this, with their success on corners, they would still be trying 200 years from now.You just said as to why I think they’re not that special….the keeper rarely saves it. Just seems like they too easy so there isn’t as much pressure on the kicker as is being made out here. At least there shouldn’t be.
Would be cool if they decided OT by doing corner kicks until someone scored.
Love how the rest of the world went nuts when they first read that tweet. He’s the best troll. The world can’t handle the rigors of the SEC schedule - that’s why they finance their waterbeds and watch jogging
I really think if the ref had any nads he would have thrown a yellow at Martinez for tossing the ball away from the kicker. He is just an ass.I can't link it but Martinez although a great gk seems to be an absolute douchbag holding the cup out like a giant dong
