What a great show to put on for Junior day recruits the past 2 Saturdays.
This was once a HUGE recruiting tool, and sadly it had fallen into decay, but
today and last week it was great just when it had to be.

The show Pitt put on for Jr. Day visitors was first rate and hard to beat.
Thank goodness the basketball program has a pulse once again!

Are we still expecting any staff shake ups? If so, who and when would/should these be announced? I've seen Bates (retirement) and Borbs name thrown around earlier in the winter on here but just curious if anyone has heard anything.

Pregame Observations.

1) If the stinky hippie who was sitting in my seat is on this board, you stink like patchouli. I'm in the nose bleeds, but I got this 200 seat on the aisle because I urinate often. Don't sit in my seat again.

2). Miami is warming up on both ends of the court. Very poor sportsmanship.

3). I'm wearing a special lycra pant and have gone publicly Canadian for the first time in my life. It feels good. Shout out the bulge (or lack there of).

4) Hello to Carl Krauser who is at the game this afternoon. Someone of his stature should have season tickets for life.

5). I don't understand wearing a warmup tank top in pregame. I'm looking at you Miami. Waste of laundromatic resources.

6) QR codes on the jumbotron. Do those actually work?

7) Goldmember uniforms today. I like them.

Wow, what a fun time! At the end of that game the entire place was rocking, us old people were all standing and screaming and the Zoo was bouncing!!

I'm here at the Petersen Events Center for today's Pitt-Miami game. We'll use this thread to discuss the game as it happens.

To start, here are a few things to get ready for the game:

Coming into this three game stretch it was crucial for Pitt to win 2 out of 3. Would you have perfected wins vs wake and Miami or wins vs Florida state and wake forest, not sure what the difference would be as far as net rankings. Either way huge win H2P

I think I almost had a stroke on that last flop by Dickinson. I would seriously pay money to the NCAA to get the block rule out of basketball. Well, keep the rule but if you fall, the foul is on you. They are tricking the refs by falling. And if they fall, 9 times out of 10 a block is called. That isnt good basketball. Nobody wants to see that. People complain about soccer. This is worse than soccer guys. I honestly mean that. The flopping I cant take anymore and I WATCH SOCCER

I don’t like starting a million posts after a game but where would we be without him?

All he does is rebound, defend, alter shots, great in PnR situations on both ends, sprints his ass off as a rim runner.

I know people will say we need more of an inside presence but my gosh has he played his role perfectly. Without him, we wouldn’t be anywhere near where we are now.

At Northwestern. In a rout for the Panthers. Northwestern is currently 14-5 (5-3). They are presently alone in third place in the B1G.

Right now they are leading Minnesota 45–28 at the half. If they hold on and win this one they’ll tie Rutgers for 2nd place in the B1G with a 6-3 Conference record. Amazing to think that Pitt beat a team so convincingly on their home court that could be 15-5 overall after today and sitting that high in the B1G standings.

Right now on NFL network if anyone wants to chill out & come down from that massive high after beatin THEu lol

A week or two ago I penciled this in as a loss. Because I'm a shitty yinzer with a yinzer dad who had a yinzer dad.

However before the game leading into this week, I was more and more confident as I feel like Miami is a good match up for us.

For most of the game my Yinzer dad and I thought this was over. No one had it today. Our offense was stumped.

But today is where the experience and heart took over. They willed this win. By the end, we wanted it more.

Miami was statistically better in just about every other category. But the offensive boards were BIG for Pitt.

Who were these two d-bags that called this game today? According to them we weren’t even in this game. They didn’t even try to walk it back at the end of the game.

Not only is one of the most likable players ever......but he could have been the goat. And he didn't hang his head and feel sorry, he made the play to seal the game!!

BK was the key piece in the turnaround our program before. To me Hinson is that guy for this era. I love Burton but Hinson is single handedly winning a crucial games for us on his own. And his intensity rubs off on this team. I love that dude. Great player. I am starting to get that little feeling I had back before when we started our run with Howland.
