Workman Like Road Win

Ok a win is a win, so
I'm happy with that. I
didn't like a lot of the
calls by the refs, BUT
GT was 0-3 on FT's. A
home team with those
stats?.....unheard of. We
also took care of the
ball with only 2TO's, also
unheard of LOL

Make no mistake though,
GTis not a good team. How
did they ever beat Miami
and Georgia? We basically
won the game with six
players (Santos and Diaz
didn't score and played
very little). As I saw it, we
by far had more talent
and other than some 3 pt
shooting GT had very
little talent for an ACC
team.

Santos

Hey would someone do me a favor and let Capel know Santos can’t shoot, plays shottie D and doesn’t rebound much. He may want to get him off the 3pt line and start him out down low or something. I mean with a guy shooting 25% from the field, 12% from 3 and 43% from the line I’m not sure Capel realizes the kid can’t shoot as well as a high school kid so maybe should play closer to the bucket. Of course that would take offensive sets that play to his strengths, if he has any, so that concept might be beyond Capel‘s pay grade. Or just tell the kid not to shoot unless he is driving to the hoop but maybe don’t do that either. Explain to the kid that he’s in to eat minutes while the kids that can get the ball in the hoop rest.

TIA

UFC

What a joke. They released the real champ, Ngannou, over failed contract talks. Dana White bad months him and then sings Jon Jones, to fight for the heavyweight title. Jones' last fight was almost three years ago, as a light heavyweight, and he shouldn't have received the decision. That was a fixed outcome. But this takes the cake.

OT: Campus Visit Recommendations

A colleague is taking his daughter on a campus visit to Pitt in March. He’s asking for recommendations for hotel, dinner, activities etc. They want to stay on campus to the extent possible, and will be visiting on a weekday.

Anyone go through this process recently and have a few options I can pass along? I haven’t been in Pittsburgh regularly in 15 years let alone Oakland. And every time I’m back I recognize less and less. Would greatly appreciate any tips.

The Morning Pitt: 1/13/2023 - A conversation with Tylar Wiltz that I think you'll enjoy

Tylar Wiltz went from Breaux Bridge, Louisiana, to Pitt - with stops at Southern Arkansas, Independence Community College and Missouri State along the way. Today, he's joining us on the Morning Pitt to talk about his journey, how he got to Pitt and what his year as a Panther was like.

Tylar really is one of the most positive people I've encountered on this job. I think that comes through in the interview and I hope you enjoy it.
