It is hard to believe that the last time Pitt won the Lambert-Meadowlands Trophy was 1980 as the best team in the east. A no-brainer this year.

Pitt just lost to two of the best teams in the ACC while playing them toe to toe and is playing meaningful games again despite the loss of (2) pretty important pieces of their rotation in Big John and Dior. It‘s fair to question some of the strategy in the 2nd half last night but Duke is a pretty good team with a lottery pick at PF and a lot of highly recruited athletes around him. Pitt just couldn‘t buy a Hoop in the 2nd half either. In this Pitt fan’s opinion the next 3 games are the real crucial ones. Win those and Pitt is on the Tourney bubble and EVERY single one of us would have signed up for that kind of season in October - H2P!

And Duke averages 12 offensive rebounds a game and they got 24 on us doubling their season average. Total lack of boxing out and toughness. Total embarrassment to your manhood to get bodied and physically dominated by a group of much younger players.

Duke had 20 offensive rebounds…look no further than this to know why we lost…is Hugley ever coming back they definitely could have used his size in this one

Pitt had a chance for a big win at Duke on Wednesday night. Instead, the Panthers blew an 11-point halftime lead and lost 77-69 in Cameron Indoor Stadium. On today's Morning Pitt, we're talking about the loss to Duke and what it means for the Panthers. Plus, running back Vincent Davis won't be coming back to Pitt in 2023, and we're discussing that as well.

Only Georgia, Michigan, Alabama, Ohio State and Clemson have won more games than Pitt in the past two years. H2P!!!

Davis to the transfer portal for his last season. Hopefully he goes somewhere he can be the lead back for a year. He is over-recruited here now, but this guy was a true Pitt man - loved the blue & gold, great teammate, gave his all, always ready when called upon. I know some were unhappy with his usage at times, but he doesn't call the plays or determine playing time. He gave it his all whenever called - even in short yardage situation

I think last years team would have made a game of it. They were a very solid roster and I think they could have handled this TCU team. Maybe not to the tune of 63-7 but Pitt’s defensive line would have matched up well against TCU’s offensive one.

Coaches Poll pretty much the same as the AP Poll. Pitt #22.

Seeing 8-5 Texas ranked, I went back to see where the 8-5 Panthers who beat the National Champs on the road, plus Top 10 PSU in 2016 were ranked… Not ranked and got zero votes at all.

Big John is important to this team, Tonite’s game should wake you up. We pretty much got pushed all over the paint. And after watching Nellie dribble the time clock away time after time I really think we could use Dior too.
