Pitt - UCLA 25 & 20!!!

That’s was a crazy game and a hell of a win!

25! As we should now finish ranked in the top 25!

20! As in 20 wins over the past 2 years. That’s the best 2 year win total in 41 years!

Great run by Nick at the end when we needed it. And let’s not forget to credit Bub with a huge catch before that. Mumpfield also played well.

Our D was missing a ton of important players including Dennis, Hill, Alexandre and consensus all American Kancey. BUT they found a way and made enough plays in the 2nd half. Wiltz was a hell of a find by this staff.

Sauls was amazing!

Yes we had some questionable calls but let’s give PN and staff credit as well. They had our guys believing they could win despite missing 8 starters and 2 All Americans. That’s a PN team as they never quit.

BTW F DTR that sh!t talking coward. He left the field when it looked like they would lose and then comes back out after it looked like they would win.

H2P!

this is the thread to thank me for making this game a win

here's why:

we're losing at half time. not looking great on defense. 9 yo is badgering me all week, and afternoon, to put together his 3D printer. I say, "ok, I'll watch on my iPad in the dining room and put this thing together." I mean, if we lose, I'll be too depressed to do it after the game.

now, I bought a Chinese 3D printer, so the directions were nearly impossible. it took me until about 5 minutes left in the 4th q. still had a few things to do but I figured I'll take a break and watch the end.

but then it hit me: I can't leave this room. I can't stop putting together this printer. so I stay, knowing full well the entire game hinges on what I'm doing in that moment. I work on the last few bits. then UCLA scores and I say, "screw it. I'll go watch the end in misery."

but then, the pitt gods spoke to me and reminded me: "there's a formula for success today: stay in this room. keep off the message board. and keep putting together that printer." I put my faith in those gods. and what happened? my faith was rewarded.

so there you have it - put all your tributes to me for my sacrifices to bring this win home. please and thank you.

Sauls to start over Scarton at PK

Our JV team is holding its own vs their first teamers

only halftime of course, could get worse in the second half.

Good game plan, we are running well, and keeping the clock running. On defense, it is almost practice for them, we arent getting a rush at all. Certainly can use a few big plays, calls and bounces our way?? I mean, that is all we can hope for here. Get Wayne more in the game, some screens to Bart, and pray they start calling the holds on UCLA they are doing each play to give them long yardage

You know - for a non BCS bowl, that was excellent…

Great presentation, good crowd at the game. Uniforms looked great. What a great back and forth game.

For a non NY6 bowl, that really didn’t feel any “less important” than the Cheez It Bowl etc.

I think our impression of the Sun Bowl is like permanently stained by Hackett, 3-0, Stanford etc. But that was a really great college football game and while I don’t necessarily want to play in El Paso every year, that was pretty fun.

Unmotherfu**ingbelievable!

As we would have said in Vietnam.

First HCP. snatches defeat from the jaws of certain victory with a series of mind bogglingly bad decisions.

Then, the Pitt players refuse to lose, with a 3-play drive marked by 2 great catches and a clutch run by Nick Patti to get Better Call Sauls into position to win the game with a FG that was from farther out than the one HCPN didn’t go for to ice the game with 2 minutes left.

Congratulations to the team for being better than your coach!
