I agree.I noticed that too.That team was pretty talented.And I checked out the bracket from that year and they were eliminated but National Runner Up North Carolina.

The year I fell in love with Pitt basketball. Was crushed when we lost to NC, but remember being heartened by losing to the runner up.

I sort of forgot about this game ... check out Varga's slam around the 1:20 mark. Kelli Taylor could have been a really good player had he not run into trouble, as evidenced by a really great all-around performance.

Over the years, I've collected about 560 TV broadcasts of Pitt basketball and football games solely as a hobby. I'm taking my first crack at a Pitt YouTube channel just for fun - no interest at all in ads, making money, etc. I have a day job!

I just uploaded my first broadcast - Florida at Pitt at the Fieldhouse from January 1988 on CBS with Charles Smith dominating Dwayne Schintzius - one of my all-time favorite games and ironic that both of my daughters ended up at UF.

NCAA Tournament -- If you would consider losses -- I do think the 2003 Marquette loss and the 2009 Villanova loss would be great to include because they were incredible games. Someone else mentioned the 2014 win over Colorado and I think we need that one.

Speaking of BET losses, I'd like to see our loss to Syracuse circa '90. It was the year we were really short-handed and lost when Shorter went for the winning shot at the end, but there was a no-call on Derrick Coleman. That one always stuck in my craw!
