I had no doubt that UNC would score, even on all those 4th downs I knew Pitt wouldn't stop them

Its not so much the d couldn't stop anyone.nc had 3 straight 3and outs. But we did the same thing. As I said before how many times can you run the jet sweep before your opponet catches on.
And if the coaches have no faith in Peterman then they better recruit that position better because the back ups are not Pitts future.

To be fair, most of those 3rd down passes by Peterman in the 4th quarter were nowhere near his receivers. He seemed to have a bad case of the yips late.

They put pressure on him. They started blitzing him on those 3rd downs plays and he choked.
Conversly, the NC QB did quite well under pressure.
