1 - Pitt is favored tonight( and I hope we win) I can't understand how we are favored though. BC is better and more experienced at every position. ( and I know I said Pitt should have beaten BC at BC. That was because Popvic was out and Chatman missed half the game.)

2 - Before this season stared, I believe most on this board were expecting much better recruiting than (barring a couple of big surprises) it looks like we will end up with. I am disappointed, but not terribly disappointed. We needed to rebuild an entire roster. Doing that after several down seasons is difficult. I believe Capel has at least brought us back to the level of recruiting Jamie was doing before Jamie lost his ability to recruit. This level of recruits can get us back around 7-8-9-10. Once we are there, I think Capel will improve future recruiting.

1. BC is supposed to be missing some double figure scorer for tonight's game.

2. Seems like an accurate assessment of recruiting to this point.

I could be wrong, but I believe the player who is out has been out for some time.

Popvic, Mitchell, Hamilton, Chatman and Bowman.

Don't know for certain HOW they do I, but Vegas is VERY GOOD at what they do.

As far as recruiting, with as many potential spots as Pitt may wind up yet having, think it's really difficult to know how this class might end up. We just found out about another new PF offered by Pitt yesterday. The recruit said Pitt has been involved since mid-January.

Wonder if - or how many other - "stealth" names may be out there that have yet to be revealed to us Pitt hoops recruiting followers? They may not all be guys being brought in as true FR in 2019, either. Could be a JUCO. Could be grad transfers. We'll see.

I think Capel's scrambled, last second first class of X, Trey and Toney is already better than any of Dixon's post-Adams/Robinson classes. Those are 3 guys who clearly belong at the ACC level, and have shown it as true freshmen.

Of the 3, Toney plays the most like a true freshman, but the talent and athleticism are there.

This class is worrisome, but it ain't over yet.

I love Toney, think he has a ton of upside.

Recruiting is interesting to talk about, but I wouldn't worry about it. I once was excited by guys like Isaiah Epps and Damon Wilson, was quite concerned about Cam Johnson and Ryan Luther. I've learned to be patient.
