Alabama in Pittsburgh yesterday, offered Ford, Wade and met with

Jurkovec. That's one program you never want to see sniffing around your backyard.

This is why Bama came for Foster and had Sal Sunseri on the Staff with his son choosing one of finest Football Program in CFB History and the best in West Virginia's Native Coach Saban winning so many NCS, with the purpose of Excellence.

Yet, it is a compliment to Ford & Wade and why they should stay and help rebuilding the Pitt Program just like Bama's Jackie Sherrill did in the 1970s and help put Dorsett, Marino, Grimm, Doleman, and Jackson into the Hall's of Fames. I will take Namath, Sunseri, and Foster to Bama for Sherrill on any Trade, but prefer Wade stays near home?

I welcome such compliments, competition, and do not fear it, and glad for any Top CFB Recruit coming from Pennsylvania and going anywhere they choose, but always prefer it to be making Pitt Is It!

Those kids need to speak to Robert Foster...

-Everyone and their mother has offered Paris Ford. I told you guys, he's the best player in the state by a landslide and everyone wants him. Complete Gamebreaker of a player in all facets of the game. I use caution with the word Elite because that word should only be used for the best of the best of the best, but the kid is flat out Elite.

besides foster and namath, not many burg kids have interest spending their college career in alabama.

Not sure if you knew this but they have a pretty good football program there. As crazy as it sounds, good football players may find that sort of thing appealing.

That said, Foster really is a good cautionary tale for WPIAL kids that get stars in there eyes. Contrast his career with Boyd's or Whitehead's and you'd think the smart kid will take the safe money most of the time. When these kids get down to spring or fall camp in Tuscaloosa for the first time they are immediately confronted by a level of athlete they've never seen before-and that's just in their own position groups. You go from The Man in WPA to just another guy fighting for football survival real quick.

-Pitts all time team would completely mop the floor with Alabama. We would annihilate them. You want to go there? Please do.

Very good post, and Foster with Boyd would have won more games for Pitt as a Dynamic Duo hard to cover by any Team, and perhaps heading to the NFL together this week.

Now contrast that opportunity for Ford and Wade and doing that on a Pitt Defense learning, sharing and playing with Whitehead and Hamlin, could be doing the same in 2019 when it comes time to playing in the NFL?

Coach Narduzzi is known for producing great Defensive First Rounders, Whitehead, Hamlin and Ford know it, up to Wade to think about it and stay at home and make Pitt is It, like Boyd did, with no regrets!

Even if that statement is true, and I take no position on it, what does that have to do with the fact that Alabama under Saban has consistently been the best program in college football?

And enough with your childish challenges to everyone. What are you, 14?

Your level of buffoonery is beyond comprehension.

-Like I said, when anyone here wants to step up to the plate and compare Pitt's all time team with anyone in the country, lets go. Ive already done this twice, but Ill do it again so it sinks in.

Pitt
QB-Dan Marino

Say that again....PITT ALL TIME TEAM is a Top 5 Team in CFB History! :D

They can make fun of Pitt's 9 NCS over on BWI, but they envy Pitt's Players and History in NCAA & NFL, and wish they could match it and that is their fate and failure, and the laugh is back on them since even the Paterno Scandal Era cannot refute it!:p:)

-Pitts all time team is #1 in the country. And I'll take the bet against anyone.

QB-Dan Marino
Pitt Coaches in Pop Warner, Doc Sutherland, and Jackie Sherrill not bad either.

I will say this I love the many Coaches produced at Big Bama too! :)

Respecting excellence without slogans speaks for itself! :p

Pitt had 3 not just 1 and without a Grand Scandal that needed Reforms!

Leaves some East of Pitt with Green of Envy! :D

Unfortunately that's not what suits up in the fall and don't think you want to go there in that match up.

They're playing a game of which we are currently not familiar with...

-That's fine and dandy. The point is Pitt has produced more Elite Talent then any other college football program in the country, bar NONE in the NFL, the pinnacle of football.

-Our track record backs it up.

-Whitehead is on his way to becoming Elite in the NFL. Ford will do the same. If Lamont Wade wants to go to Penn State, good luck on his NFL future. He will need it, 10 fold.

I disagree a tad, in time Saban's Bama Talent will continue to grow in the NFL, and I respect and admire that about him and Bama and credit both too.

Yet, Pitt Is Still It Too!

-What player in the NFL has dominated from Alabama outside Julio Jones? The answer is none. All those powerhouse RB's in college, and nothing in the NFL. Mark Ingram has been there 5 years already. 1 lousy pro bowl. Psst

Notre Dame, USC, Ohio State, and Michigan certainly would object to this statement of bar NONE.

Pretty sure everybody knows that and agrees

Fact is 30 years of fifty fifty ball isn't going to stack up against bama right now.
We get an amazing player every couple years for sure, amazing, but impressive is winning 10 or 11

Would trade that for bragging rights about NFL talent any day of the week.

Know what I'm sayin

I posted I disagree a tad, not in total.

The Pipeline of Great recruits into Great Players will continue at Bama under Saban, but Narduzzi will be producing Players for future Hall of Fames too. Yet, Pitt has a few more already in the pipeline going to the HOF as well, so not disagreeing in total with you at all. I defend this aspect of Pitt Football Program in History and the last 1000, 50,15 and 5 years. Fitzgerald, Revis, and Donald are looking towards a one day Hall too! Covert & Scottenheimer may get there too.

I will note, Cincy's Back-Up QB in Bama's AJ McCarron would have been the First Back-Up QB to win a Historic National NFL Playoff Game had not the Bengal's Bungle the ending of another Steeler's Miracle Win. I think he is better than Dalton and will prove to be a Great NFL QB in the future, just a Hunch not Gospel.

All Steeler Fans should realize the Miracles we all witness:
1. Immaculate Reception! (Kudos to PSU's Franco!)
2. Immaculate Interception!! (Kudos to Kent State's Harrison!)
3. Immaculate Referee Selections!!! (Kudos PacMan-Burfict Penalties!)

QB-Dan Marino-10 Pro Bowls, 22 NFL QB records still stand, 400+ passing yards in more games than any other QB in history

RB-Tony Dorsett-NFL Hall of Fame, College Hall of Fame, Super Bowl MVP, over 7000 yards at Pitt, 2nd all time in college football history. Put up 1600 yards in 11 games as a freshmen at Pitt. Heisman winner, 3X First Team All American, unanimous College Football Player of the Year. Only player in NFL history to average over 1000 yards rushing in 9 of his first 10 seasons in the NFL besides Barry Sanders

-Pick one. Lets dance.
Boy, I am glad you post here on the Lair! I don't have to do this anymore and time I passed on the Baton on this subject alone and other subjects, as younger know more than me, and glad to do it on many other CFB subjects.

As stated many times and I know I am right......the best place to share and learn about CFB is with Best Posters on the Lair that dare to support their positions by teaching others fans with links to think and joined by many fans of other Programs as well!

Pitt CFB Deeds are not Slogans!

Just look up players in the Hall of Fame, Notre Dame has 13, Pitt 8.

Otherwise, Alabama success over the past 30 years or Pitt success over past 30 years?

Please try to argue that.
