It's only been one game, and I'm already tired of all the "I'm done being a fan" or "I can't support this team" posts. If you decided that after watching tonight's game, then you shouldn't have even watched the game because an outcome like that was likely.

Actual analysis and criticims are fine, but if you're going to flip out everytime we lose a game, just stop watching now. Seriously, it'll be good for your health.

I personally partly enjoyed watching tonight's game. You can clearly see we have some talent and bright spots, and a whole lot more holes. But it will be exciting to see how we grow as the season goes on.

And if you're going to live game-by game with THIS TEAM, just don't follow it.

Being outraged that we lost to UNC last night in football is completely logical. But if you had any sense of this team going in, tonight's loss shouldn't make you that upset.

I agree....getting upset over losing one game to a bad Navy team is out of line. We've had plenty to get upset about with this coach, like his total lack of coaching last year and his lack of character. So let's just pretend he isn't here (for all intents and purposes, he isn't) and just try and see if somehow these kids can improve on their own.

The game I watched Pitt scored but 1 point in the first 10 min of the second half that is not going to win or be competitive in most games.

Sorry to tell you OP but the mass of posters on this site only will go away after a Pitt win. Even signing a recruit or two results in them bad mouthing and slandering the kids for not being 5 star recruits. A sick group of people who hopefully don't represent Pitt

HA HA HA HA HA

You have a bunch of people, some who have proven to be mentally ill, who simply were more of a fan of our former coach then our basketball program.

Agree with the OP
yes, keep looking for half-full glass folks to bring up the numerous positives on the state of Pitt basketball...problem is that Pitt does not have a filled glass or a half filled glass, they don't even have a glass...

btw...How exactly did you determined the "proven" mental status of the folks that post here. MD or frequent Holiday Inn Express patron?

I'm waiting to see a player emerge that you know, and everyone knows, is that impact player that will make a difference. We had those kinds of players play in the last 15 years and you knew it right away when they stepped on the court and played. So far, no one has done that on this team. Have to just keep waiting and hoping.

If you think you need a doctorate to identify mental illness in some of these people you’re crazy.

Stallings will win more tournament games in the first 5 years than Dixon did his last 5.

Now, I’m mentally competent.
It may take us 3 years to win 9 conference games-
But the recruiting and offensive freedom is exciting.

And I will bet you are on this board after every game bitching about the same things as if you just figured it out. We know where the program is and know there is much work to do. But the constant barrage of negativity by the same posters is maddening.

I just wanna know who actually made it through that disgusting piece of trash they tried to call a basketball season last year, and then gives up after the loss to navy last night? Even in a loss it was kind of encouraging to see a new group of guys that actually were out there hustling and playing team basketball. Only thing I can really criticize them for is some poor shot selection, way too many forced 3 pointers.

And they didn't play defense or rebound. If you don't do those 2 things, you don't give yourself any chance of beating anyone.

I think the "flipping out" for this game was rather tame compared to any loss we had during the days when we were a top 15 team.

They didn't, but they certainly did those things far better than they did last season. I do worry about Luther, decent player, but I really can't see him getting many rebounds against ACC bigs. If he were our 6th man or even our PF that didn't need to do much other than play defense, id be fine with that. Starting center though going into ACC play, that might be too tall of a task.
