Sadly, I do think Billy is getting a little long in the tooth. But, I'm also thinking that whoever he uses as his "spotter" does an awful job. It is the spotters job to know who is on the field and to feed names and numbers to the play by play guy as the play is unfolding.

Don't hear Billy much anymore because I go to the games. Agree that in his excitement he struggles to get the facts correct but when you do hear his call on the replay of a highlight play - he still sounds pretty damn good...

What is more crazy? A 3 page thread on a play by play announcer or a 2 page thread on the basketball board about some chick shooting a pellet gun?? What makes it crazier is we are seeing some venom from both sides on a subject that, to be honest, is pretty ridiculous. And of course I read both so what does that say about me?

I blame topic view. It lends itself to preventing threads like this from dying their natural death.
