I didn’t expect such a weak initial volley from them.
I was expecting something funny. That’s embarrassingly mild.
Cal fans seem pretty nice,their signs are pretty funny too, wish both teams could wear their best jerseys to confuse the hell out of the refs
I think they have to take a shot the city's reputation as a blue collar fanbase. Maybe take a shot at Andrew Carnegie, one of the world's greatest capitalists. Most people wont get that though. Also, isnt Pitt trying to unionize. Playing on that would be fun
I don't think they go very hard until they feel like they have a reason. They've really leaned into the whole calgorithm thing and it's pretty entertaining. I don't see it ever happening but they would be a great school to have a rivalry with.
Agreed, this is pretty weak.
I don't think Yinzers (granted, much more associated with the Steelers than Pitt) are exactly a difficult target to hit, either.

Give them credit to at least realize Dan Marino went to Pitt. Unlike the Cowboy fans walking around the North Shore confused as to why there was a "Tony Dorsett Drive" around the stadium.

They needed to be better with these. Needed to research Pitt and Pittsburgh a little better. How bout asking if Acrisure has all-gender bathrooms or arranging a clean air protest outside of Clairton Works. PA will decide the election but no political jokes here? Disappointing.

Those are solid, and maybe it's the homer in me; but my favorite GameDay sign to this day is from when they were in Pittsburgh for the Pitt vs VT game in 2003:

this isnt a win just for pitt, our freedom is on the line on saturday.
I do know this.....the #calgorithm would absolutely not work in the Big 12.
