Capel should offer Terrelle Pryor

Hate to be serious on a jagov post but I'm pretty sure there is an age limit like 28 years old or something. Someone can fact check me on this.
Not sure about that, I seem to remember Old Blue doing some college wrestling at at advanced age..

Someone who is on Twitter needs to reply that SMF is hoopie masquerading as a Pitt fan. No need to denigrate all Pitt fans by association with his idiocy.
Yep. Huge, huge WVU fan. Huge. Or maybe I like Pitt but think the program has a ton of problems. Nah.

"At forward, from Jeanneatte Pennsylvania, number 2... Terrellllllllle Prrrryor! And your head coach for the Panthers, from Ellwood City, Seannnn M-M-M-M-Millerrrrrrr!"

It’s amazing how much he is mocked and Laughed at.. even Twitter thinks he’s an Idiot..
Well, I was half-joking in the OP. I do think someone should test the rule and I do think that at 32, Pryor would be an ACC level guard. He is a world-class athlete and the best local basketball player I've ever seen.

By who’s count ?
Put him on the lawsuit
If you’re going to go full idiot with your ideas- fully commit to your imbecile nature
Don't be ridiculous. He played for 5 years.

An NFL player will win the lawsuit and play college hoops eventually. I don't think the courts will see much of a difference between granting a kid an exception to go on a 2 or 3 year Mormon mission and a kid who decides to play a professional sport but wants to return in a sport he didn't go pro in. Another big W coming my way and will be posted on the SMF Wins twitter account

You do realize this is not an honor? It really is confirming what most of the board thinks of your posts anyway.

You would think someone "who knows basketball" would know that you have 5 years to play 4. If you play 4 in 4; you can play 1 year in another sport but the 5 year clock doesn't restart.

Pitt had a volleyball player crossover to hoops for a season a few years ago.

Injuries, covid, etc are the exceptions.

I know basketball. I'm not an expert on NCAA rules. Even Jim Boeheim said something like they give him some thick book of rules and he doesn't know hardly any of them.

But yea, I do remember getting 5 to play 4. But if you play 3 in 3 and then go pro (or take a real job) in a different sport, you should be able to play your last year in a sport you didn't go pro in. One day they'll be able to.

It's a continuous 5 year window to play in. So no, you idea doesn't work at any level outside your misguided hoopie brain.

Right, except for Mormons, who can come back when they're 40 and play. I'm saying the rule will eventually be changed and would never hold up in court. You can't allow Mormons to have 20 years to play but not others.

Their clock of eligibility starts when they begin playing , silly goose
They don’t play 2 years - go on mission trips for 10 years and then finish playing

It's like talking to a 4 year old.

No, that's not right.... It's like talking to a special needs 4 year old.

That's still not it.... it's like talking to a special needs 4 year old after they got into the liquor cabinet....

I was being sarcastic about 10 years but the NCAA allows them to start playing then go on a Mission for a few years then finish playing in Year 6 or maybe 7.

They don’t
I literally just explained it
The NCAA gives Mormons 7 years to play 4 if they go on a 2 year mission. What are you talking about?

Should a female swimmer who goes pro after her sophomore year for 2 years but then returns to school not be allowed to play on the softball team? She didn't play pro softball. In that sense, I see very little difference between a 2 year religious mission and a 2 year pro swimming gig
