Welcome back.

0-3 and almost certainly looking at an 0-5 start.

He was obviously in a rebuild situation, but if you watched the game tonight it was apparent that they were very flat and not really ready to play. That’s on the head coach.

-UCLA's starting QB is a true freshmen. He played football 1 year in his career, in high school. Sucks when you take over a school and dont have a QB or lose your QB and end up with 2nd and 3rd stringers as freshmen. Also makes it more difficult when your whole offensive game plan is build on speed to burn a defense with the fastest play calling in the country. Chip Kelly doesnt play Vanilla. Give it 2 maybe 3 years, and he is going to own that division and will run the score up by halftime again.

Chipper also had a 17 yr old who weighs 380 on the field at times.
UCLA is in a rut , sort of like Nebraska only longer.
Maybe Kelly can fix it , but then sometimes you really can’t go home....ie back to CFB

Speaking of uniforms, the Bruins have f’ed up great unis by messing with the colors of its True Blue and Gold...its trim and those hideous blue shoes.
UCLA too must have a bunch of color blind suits with nothing better to do....but at least they can hold their meetings and mixers on a beach.

Kelly, Taggart, Frost.

3 solid coaches who have won big at other jobs. All 3 going through the same growing pains.

Overwhelming evidence when 3 accomplished coaches struggle in the new job because the program is not what it once was.

Those that suggested yesterday that Taggart is a bust are way premature and likely going to look foolish .

I think the same for kelly and frost.

Taggart won’t get the time to turn it around

out of the three, Frost will do best, and I think Taggert may be a huge bust. Kelly his best days may be behind him

And kudos to you for being one of the few to pick a Pitt victory this weekend!

Agree. Frost will do an outstanding job. Year 2 will show huge improvements. They should have beaten Colorado.

Chip's best days are definitely behind him. At Oregon, he had such a huge advantage because teams rarely faced offenses like his, that's not the case anymore. And unfortunately for UCLA Chip isn't great at adjusting. His big coaching adjustment is to go faster.

Taggart looks overmatched, and downright pathetic. I know he took over some rebuilding situations, but still, the guy is a career sub .500 coach

When and where has Taggart won big? When was he ever accomplished? It was a terrible hire by FSU. They settled for mediocre when they didn't have to.

His offense can’t be installed in one offseason, especially with a roster built to run a pro style offense.

Once he gets his personnel in place and his team learns the system, look out.

Meanwhile, if you’re looking for a whipping post hire, I’d suggest looking no further than Tallahassee.

Well... come on, dont insert logic into a good old fashioned Pittsburgh-like coach hating session

except everyone does that offense now. I think he may be a RichRod, where he caught fire and his system was humming at one place and won't be able to replicate the magic again.

But who knows, maybe he does turn it around at UCLA, but they have a huge history of under-achieving for Kelly to overcome.

I agree that they will eventually get better, but have you watched their first couple games?

Even while getting blown out at Oklahoma they played hard the entire game, especially late.

Was a total different story against Fresno. They looked flat at the start, but it got much worse as the game progressed. Their body language was horrible and very noticeable, it almost looked like they quit.

Kelly obviously noticed as he supposedly had his players doing conditioning drills during the game. He has a lot of work to do there, not just with the play on the field.

That is nuts.

Thompson-Robinson’s dad has a reputation of being one of “those” parents. Even when his son was at Bishop Gorman he was criticizing the coaches and saying his son should be starting over Tate Martell.

He couldn’t be like Snoop Dog and just sit in the stands and watch his son play and keep his mouth shut.

UCLA, Florida State, Nebraska..,,
Coaching changes bring hard times. It's a miracle that Pitt has fared as well as it has over the past years. As Pitt fans we should be all too familiar with this scenario.

odd that his twitter handle is Michael Robinson@DoriansDAD and not Michael Robinson@DoriansMomsHusband. "Bobby, it's me your daddy Roberto!"

Snoop was probably baked though. Parker Stewarts dad seemed a bit like that, but we havent had many that I can remember.

kelly has a team that doesnt fit his philosophy or scheme, he needs to completely change the roster, and his QB has 1 year of playing experience before coming to ucla and being the starter, FSU is the same way, they dont have the players to fit the scheme and need a different QB, Nebraska just doesnt have a QB and need more talent
