One week from today. Anybody thinking of driving up? If not, it will be live on Flo.

Here's who we have currently registered, could change between now and then:
* = reg'd as unattached (for any non-wrestling folks reading, means the staff is keeping the option to redshirt)

125 - Curry, Camacho (+Gary Steen)
141 - Michaels, Cherry (+ Louis Newell)
149 - Kemerer, Mancini, McMillen* (+ Shayne Van Ness, Brent Moore (former VT))
157 - Badgett, McCorkle*, Emory Taylor*
165 - Tye Weathersby
(+ #14 Hall from WVU and PSU's Facundo)
174 - Hunter Kernan, Luca Augustine*
184 - James Lledo, Kolby Flank, Nic Meglino, Cole Hivnor*
(+ #17 Key from Navy)
197 - Geoff Magin, Ethan Finch
285 - Jake Slinger
(+ Colby Whitehill)

Clearly anyone with a starting spot is sitting this one out, which makes sense; Pitt is by far the highest-ranked team (#16 WS, second is WVU at #38 WS) sending wrestlers. Micky, Cole and Jake would all be heavy favorites with honestly nothing to gain and much to lose. Would have liked to see Cleary here, could have picked up a couple wins against higher-ranked guys. Nino and Gregg are unavailable.

Lotta interest here i see 🙄

I see Isaac Reid is entered as "unrostered," anyone know are we cornering him? Is that a done deal?

I was certainly going to be watching if we had interested eyes on the edge of the mat!

Brackets are out wrestling starts momentarily. Camacho vs Noto is a good first round match up

So far everyone in contention for a starting spot has only won, except CC. Camacho seems to always win the 1-point matches at dual meets and lose the 1-point matches at tournaments.

All of our 149s and 174s are looking good and through to the QFs.

Colby Whitehill just got majored by a high schooler (albeit the #1 recruit).

Lledo and Slinger earn QF berths with a pin and tech fall, respectively.

Finch lost 2-0 1R. Anyone know how long it will take Nino to return to folkstyle dual action?

Luca got a takedown and rode out the first period but then got ridden the whole second. Hangs on in the third for the 3-2 win over LHU starter (?) and 2020 PIAA champ Stoltzfus.

Reid in control for the first period against solid veteran HWT from Navy. Seemed to gas in the second. Up 6-4 but I think he loses this match.

Lol 6-6 and Reid is *done* with 90 seconds left. Not the worst thing for his first college match in two years!

Ryan Michaels gives up first takedown to a decent Lehigh backup and reverses him. Guys like Michaels and Lledo could redshirt this year and still have four years of eligibility left--Michaels will be very good as an upperclassman if he stays in the room that long.

Michaels rides out the second on top, escapes to start the third. Holds on for a tough 4-3 win with 2+ minutes of RT.

James Lledo has pinned his way to the QFs in exactly 2:00 of mat time. His next opponent will be #17 David Key from Navy.

They both already redshirted.

Luke appeared to lose consciousness and go limp during the first period of his QF. Still being attended to on the mat by medical. :/

Kernan takes out the top seed 9-6. Good win for him. He gets a little lazy at times though. Needs to keep focus for 7 min

Luca goes down 8-2 with a horrible second period but comes back to win 10-9! They are still making some mental mistakes but we brought the two best 174s to this tournament and they will meet in the semifinals.

Nice comeback win for Luca! Was down 8-2 after getting taken dow and thrown on his back but he returned the favor in the third with a beauty of double to a turk and tilt. Wins 10-9. Will face Hunter Kernan in the semis. 174 might just be ok this year

Wow! Lledo pulls off a throw for 2 takedown and 4 back points to pull off the upset against the 2 seed and top 20 David Key from Navy! Lledo is far from conventional, but he is extremely dangerous with those throws. Wowowow!

Lledo is seriously something else wow. Key is a legit opponent too
With his approach, he is never out of the match. If the rest of his game can be more solid/less risky, he can really make some noise in the future

Michaels loses to the #4 seed from Maryland 5-3. The match really wasnt that close though. Michaels gave up a first period take down and got ridden out. Was reversed in the 2nd and ridden out again. He got an escape and takedown late because he has a deep gas tank. Otherwise, he isnt a good athlete and his feet are slow. Active, athletic guys will always give him trouble. But he is scrappy and tough as hell. Easy to root for

Badgett picks up a second backside win thanks to a mean second-period ride.

Camacho, after a what, five-hour layoff? techs a guy from Bloomsburg.

Badgett wins a tough one on riding time 2-1. I thought the stalemate call at the end of the second was bad. Badgett was working the entire time and Shaut wasnt getting out. He did after the restart though. Still Badgett got his escape and held on in some very dangerous situations.

Badgett is nasty on top. He could be Wentzel good by the time he is a senior

Not a good performance by Mancini. Didnt seem to have much of a plan of attack on his feet.

Mancini really struggled against the Greco attacks of the Bucknell 149. Curry wins 8-1, but no bonus is not what I'd like to see against a Bloomsburg wrestler who didn't come close to winning any of his matches last year.

Wow, Steen getting dominated. Is he being exposed today?

Mancini was inviting those attacks with how upright his stance was. Played right into that guy's hands.

Good point on Curry. He has still looked solid though, Id say. He'll have a test with Noto. Camachos loss is looking more like a very unlucky draw now

Joey fisher with a big win over Werner. I know we had him for a visit before I can theorize having Steen committed did not help or perhaps we didn’t have the spot available. Would have been a good lightweight prospect to have.

Yeah now that you mention it Noto is looking super strong today, and he beat a ranked guy in their wrestleoffs.

Seems like session break is wrapping up now.

Semifinalists:
Curry (125)
Kernan, Augustine (174)
Lledo (184)
Slinger (285)

Alive on backside: Camacho, Michaels, Mancini, Badgett

Michaels tough on top with a pin and nice ride in the second. Awesome to see the depth coming together. When your backups are beating starting level MAC wrestlers it’s a great sign

Am I seeing this right? Do you have to reach semis to take third in this tournament? So if you lose before, the best you can do is 5th?
