Clemson vs Ohio State Gamethread

What? Um no. Ok Friermuth, Parsons, Twyman and Ford I'll give you. The rest wouldn't start no way.
The post didn’t say start, it said see the field. And by the way, Gross Matos is leaving early to go to the NFL and is projected to be a first round pick.

You must not follow sports closely. The best coaches don’t need to worry about “having an out” or pulling this reverse psychology BS. Dabo kept saying how “we don’t really have a chance as evidenced by 3 seed” and things like that. Ryan Day? He kept saying “we should’ve been #1”. I love Day. He’s incredible and the adversity he has been through (his father committed suicide) is unparalleled. Gimme the attitude of Day anytime over Dabo’s fake outrage.
Dabo sucks. Is clear.

BTW, my “Heather Bresch” degree has allowed me to retire at age 43. I sold 2 businesses by age 40 and was featured in Columbus Monthly’s “40 under 40” feature....guess what? I grew up in a trailer park, literally. My next door neighbor was top 5 in his class at West Point and was a Scout in Iraqi Freedom. Doesn’t it absolutely outrage you?
Then it’s true... you can take the man out of the trailer park, but you can’t take the trailer park out of the man.

Ha ha - you claim you’re a “Big Success” and yet you’re on this BS message board trying to convince anonymous posters about it. My guess is you’re probably addicted to opiods and still living in the trailer park.
Once a hillbilly always a hillbilly.

That's called targeting all day everyday. Doesn't matter if the wr/qb ducks or not helmet to helmet, especially if the defender lowers his head and it will be called. Don't like it but it is the way it is. The correct call

If that wasn’t targeting there is no such thing as targeting. That hit is the exact thing the rule was intended to eliminate

LOL @ people thinking OSU was going to run away with it

This is Clemson same team who destroyed Bama just last year

Should be an interesting second half. Losing Higgins was huge

OSU started out on offense making every play. They were near perfect and they only scored 16. The goal line stops were huge The question is can fields reproduce that effort in the second half.

The targeting hit, it was targeting by the way, and the Chase Young WWE wrestling choke hold pissed Clemson off, and woke them up. It’s going to be a good second half.

Regardless if it was the correct call or not, it was very fortunate for Clemson. They were looking at a sack and punting the ball away again and by the good fortune of Lawrence ducking his head, they keep the ball plus the yardage plus knocking the OSU defender out of the game. Very very fortunate turn of events for Clemson.

The second half should be interesting because Ohio State should be winning by a lot more, but they aren’t. Clemson has all the momentum, and they get the ball first. Dobbins also got banged up, so will he be healthy in the second half.

Someone said it earlier, but Fields is slinging it tonight. Lots of accurate and on time throws.

Leaving aside the call, OSU killed themselves with poor red zone play calling & execution more so than anything Clemson did. Plus Dobbins missed at least two series. Clemson was very lucky to only be down 16-0. Furthermore you’re probably inclined to give Dabo all the credit, whereas, much like last year, Dabo rides the coattails of his talent. Etienne made a great play to get in the end zone then Lawrence made another play; it was nothing Dabo did.

Funny, when pitt guys drop the ball and don't execute, its narduzzi. When players make plays it's not the coach. Fun y how that works. Dabo is a hell of a coach.

It wasn't good fortune that Lawrence ducked his head. It was "good fortune", if that's what you want to call it, that the defender led with the crown of his helmet. That was clearly and obviously targeting because of the actions of the defender. What the quarterback did had nothing to do with it.

Some of what you say about Osu shooting themselves is true. But dabo is a hell of a coach. You don’t win two natties and beat Saban twice in the playoff if you can’t coach.

That’s not an argument I would make personally; the whole ‘team’s not prepared’ thing tends to be overplayed & reactionary. Duzz got skewered, perhaps rightfully, for getting bushwhacked 51-7 in his 4th season at home on prime time TV yet Dabo got bushwhacked 51-7 at home in his 5th season on prime time TV too ... all while being ranked #5 and after having been anointed COY. His impact is overstated IMO.

I cant wait for all the Penn state fans to start chiming in on how the officiating is biased against big10 teams

I thought that this may have been Clemson's least talented team if there is sch a thing for them in the past 4 years and thought OSU should win and may still. But after going to Pitt game at Clemson and meeting so many nice people yes even after they lost I cheer for them, although I don't see anyone slowing down LSU they look outstanding although playing OU I take their win with a large grain of salt

Impact of 10 years and $93,000,000 is that overstated....

The man has 2 national championships beating what is considered the best coach in history. Holy shit.

Clemson became an also ran pre Dabo. You gotta be bleeping joking. Good lawd. Late entry for dumb post of the year.

Same issue with ford at duke. Ford led with crown and offensive player ducked down.
