I would’ve gone for it there if I was Dabo. Their kicker has been lousy all year, going to say there was a better chance of them making the 1st down than him making a kick from that distance.

He’s a great coach! He’s a fraud because he always acts like “he’s just having fun” and “it’s just little old Clemson” comments. Be a man. Tell the public that you’re going to throttle the competition. Don’t pull that reverse psychology BS. Like Troy Polamalu said in Feb 2009. “We don’t need to worry about jinxing ourselves. We simply don’t care. We are here to win.”
Pretty much any team in the country would be thrilled to have Dabo.
By that rationale, pretty much every coach or player who speaks in public to the press is a fraud.

Dabo and Clemson has been way to conservative. Should have went for it two other times as well and yes at your own 35, in that situation yes you go for it. But overall Clemson isn't playing well missing tons of tackles and osu is playing very well. Game is probably over if osu punches it in here

You must not follow sports closely. The best coaches don’t need to worry about “having an out” or pulling this reverse psychology BS. Dabo kept saying how “we don’t really have a chance as evidenced by 3 seed” and things like that. Ryan Day? He kept saying “we should’ve been #1”. I love Day. He’s incredible and the adversity he has been through (his father committed suicide) is unparalleled. Gimme the attitude of Day anytime over Dabo’s fake outrage.
BTW, my “Heather Bresch” degree has allowed me to retire at age 43. I sold 2 businesses by age 40 and was featured in Columbus Monthly’s “40 under 40” feature....guess what? I grew up in a trailer park, literally. My next door neighbor was top 5 in his class at West Point and was a Scout in Iraqi Freedom. Doesn’t it absolutely outrage you?
