Ford tweet

Can’t say I’ve seen him “look good” either.

So maybe it’s just a little frustration and it’s not “blaming be coaches or program” like some of you love to think it is.

Hopefully it means they're getting away from the preposterous defense-only "plan" for him this week!

But (sigh) that's not what it means, does it...

He’s not a cb. How about let him play in space and make plays like Safeties do? He’s an elite athlete, put him in position to be successful. Only Pitt can make a system so hard that an elite recruit can’t learn it and they still give up 30+ a game. Sounds like something our coaches should be stubborn on and refuse to change.

We have no play makers at wide receiver. Maybe this is where you should be!

Cause the geniuses on the coaching staff would be able to teach him how to play offense without a hitch. You guys are right let him switch positions once again because the first time worked out so well.

What makes him an elite athlete? 40 time? Strength? He didn’t do anything when given an opportunity to return punts. Lopes is a better return man. Ford looked out of shape compared to Sanders while working out this summer. Maybe Ford needs to grind more and stay off Twitter.

Only Pitt and its system and coaches can turn a star player and one of the highest rated recruits we have had in the last ten years into a bench warmer. Nobody knows how this kid looks during games because he hasn't seen enough time to make an impact. Our coaches have decided to stick with Dennis Briggs because he is a wonderful practice player. Not giving Ford a chance is on the coaches. They can't land any good local players or 4 star talent. Do you think potential recruits that are local are noticing this? Do you think other recruits that are highly ranked might be aware of this?

The kid needs to be on the field. There is a reason that he was wanted at some of the best programs in the nation. He didn't get to Pitt and forget how to play football. I have had it with our coaches, they are actually dumb enough to bench this kid, and it is going to result in him going elsewhere. I wouldn't have a problem with it if we were a great defense and shutting teams down, but when we play a team that runs a spread and has speed everywhere, Narduzzi needs to stop being a butthead and put him on the field. Give him a half of football nextweek, if he sucks bench him and let him transfer, but for God's sake give him a chance.

This right here, but no let’s play the kid from Shadyside ****ing Academy! Idiots will say the coaches no more, yeah right.

I agree 1000% Sit Dennis Briggs and play Paris Ford. Narduzzi is just not smart.

And this, if he is not an elite athlete, he is better than Briggs. It is weird here that when talking about recruits, stars and offers mean everything, now they mean nothing. Way better coaches than ours thought he was worthy of a scholarship.

What any player did in HS means nothing at the college level. The press clippings, stars, 7 on 7, and offer list all mean squaduche. He needs to focus on working hard and grinding. There isn’t some sabotage going on although people like you would like to believe it.

Wasn’t he being touted as some potential superstar punt returner by you? Lopes is a far better returner.
What are you basing your kick return theory on? How many kicks has Paris actually had a chance to return? I guess the coaches don't even trust the kid to catch a punt now. I guess our coaches are trying to protect his ego by not letting him on the field to embarass himself. By now, the coaches probably have Paris himself thinking he is just not good enough.

I remember last year when Paris was not eligible to play, Narduzzi was simply gushing about his ability, athleticism, and leadership. He was either full of it, or he is a complete idiot! You decide...........

I have no doubt the kid has raw talent. But no coach in their right mind is going to play a kid who is not as good as the kids ahead of him just because of his recruiting status What little we’ve seen of him in coverage is that he’s not as good as the players getting PT ahead of him

Haven’t seen him play safety and I’m not a Briggs fan but I doubt he’s clearly better than Campbell and stocker and Hamlin.

Gotta hope he’s willing to be patient and work hard and learn the defend to realize his raw potential

Since we're talking about "elite" athleticism, could someone please show me some clips of him in high school where he's isolated in coverage. Please just a few.

You guys who yap about the the complexity of Duzz's scheme realize it could quite possibly be the most simplistic scheme in the league. I know several d1 coaches who praised the scheme because it allows players to rep a coverage and run fit vs the majority of formations they see.

Lol @ 7 on 7 coverage.....

Again, my own gripe is not that he's not being played on defense; that scheme apparently requires Einstein and Marilyn Vos Savant's offspring. My gripe is not having anything designed for offense for him, on an offense deeply in need of explosiveness.

I was told today by someone who is very close with his dad that he will be transferring after the season

I didn’t see him play in high school like a lot of you guys did, I have no clue if he’s that’s good or not.

It’s not impossible his skills don’t translate to the next level though, there are a lot of kids that were way, way, better high school players than Paris Ford that didn’t make it.

Hell Max Browne and Ricky Town were more highly regarded coming out of high school than Ford. It happens, some athletes peak at the age of 17-18.

Ppl can debate back and forth about this kid all day, I have no problem with it. No I did not see his tweet, tweets or whatever. The question I have is does the kid have any family, uncles, role models etc who can teach him about being a man?

Seriously if you do have a problem with PT...maybe talk to the coach’s (sure he may have). Or maybe work harder (sure he may be doing that).

But those adults who care about him need to tell him to man up and don’t bitch on Twitter.

Sure we can bitch on a message board but most of us (I would hope) handle issues we have at work or real life like adults.

Or maybe, just maybe, he wasn't that good to begin with. There were tons of rumors during his recruitment involving bigger schools souring on him, and giving him "non-commitable" offers.

We had trolls come to this board and tell us that, but most people here brushed them off, labeling them as sore losers in the Paris Ford Sweepstakes.

It would explain how Narduzzi was able to land him, considering we have some of the worst recruiters in the Power 5.

He played on Saturday, but if I remember correctly I think it was only one play.

After Saturday's drubbing , we will see more of Ford, and Reynolds and Bright, etc, etc the rest of the way

I think that one media guy may be right in that wade plays for psu and Ford ends his career at iup

PN usually plays players out of porition, Ford best bet is to transfer and let him play S, hes obviously not going to play much at pitt
