I think the easy answer is our defense hasn’t been as good as earlier in the season for a good number of games now. Good thing the offense has picked up the slack.

I agree. The defense lately is inconsistent....it's good for a while then becomes porous. At this time of the year, the defense needs to be consistently good with effort and focus for an entire 40 minutes or there is a good chance we lose that game. And good scoring opportunities arise from good defense.

Yes -- the game was on at my house but I was only 7 so a barely remember it. But I remember that Thompson got hurt but they played better without him.

Interesting DT, you are about the same age as me, yet you seem to have a better memory. I remember him playing, but I didn't remember an injury or how he performed. Perhaps I have had a few too many cold ones over the years.
