GAME THREAD .... Pitt vs Navy ......

I don't think preparation is Narduzzi's strength. Sure didn't seem like it over the final few games

He was " outdetailed" by a team that focuses on detail today!
But we were physically handled " beat up" which really surprises me!

Army handled that offense. Shoulda watched that tape twice instead of Georgia Tech.
The difference is Army also runs that kind of offense. So their defense is used to Practicing against it. That is the only explanation for why a 2-10 Army stopped that offense better than 8-4 Pitt.

I think "rivalry game" had a lot to do with it also, remember the Steelers flame-out yesterday vs the worst team in the NFL.

Well, that's my point. If you want to learn how to defend it, take a look at someone who knows how it's done. I wonder if Army coaches would have helped out the Pitt staff if asked. My guess is no.

Army's defense practices against the offenses their opponents run. Not sure why you would think they most often practice against an offense that they see twice a year (Navy and Air Force).

During game week, you are correct, but they do practice against it during spring football, because that's the offense their team uses. Also, I'm sure their offensive coaching staff is consulted (as a subject matter expert) when the Army defensive coaches are implementing a game plan to defend against that offense.
